This emotional awareness meditation is a sensory relaxation that will allow you to become more aware of feelings based on the sensory experiences in your body.
By familiarizing yourself with the sensory experience of emotions,
You allow yourself to deeply connect with your intuitive nature.
The connection between the mind and body causes emotional responses to be reflected in your physical body.
Intuition is an embodied practice.
As you feel into your body with each emotional prompt,
Allow yourself to surrender to the intuition that wants to speak through you.
I will guide you to focus on feelings one at a time and notice the effect of each emotion on your body.
Be aware that some of the feelings may be unpleasant,
But this discomfort can be important and helpful.
Many of us have the urge to slam the door in the face of our emotions and become attached to the protective systems,
Which is natural to our survival.
But this is the opportunity for you to transform how you connect with your experiences,
How you connect with your emotions,
And connect with your intuition.
When you allow yourself to experience a heightened sensation,
You are able to awaken into the space of your visceral knowing.
I'll guide you to create a safety zone in your mind,
Allowing the mind to guide you into the space of your body.
If at any point you need to mentally go to the safety zone for a break,
To make sure you keep yourself safe and respect your limits,
That is absolutely okay.
I invite this.
Sit or lie down and make yourself extremely comfortable.
Begin to allow your body to relax by lovingly guiding your attention to your breath.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Breathe into your entire body to allow yourself to truly become centered and align from within.
Allow the breath to deepen and slowly guide your hand to your belly.
Your most primal intuition is your gut instincts.
This is our survival mode,
Our survival intuitive connection,
And many of us simply stay here.
Honor your primal instincts.
Breathe into the space of your belly and if you're feeling any tension,
Breathe in again and as you exhale,
Allow the tension to release and leave your body.
Inhale into the space of your belly and exhale,
Releasing any remaining tension.
Continue breathing slowly,
Allowing your breaths to relax you as you feel the heat growing in the point of contact,
The root of your belly.
When you feel ready,
Gently guide your hand away and allow it to rest comfortably at your side.
Create a picture in your mind of a place of safety,
Allowing the mind to guide you into the depths of your inner world,
Your visceral knowing.
Picture a place where you felt safe,
A place that makes you feel most at ease.
Perhaps it's a place you would go when you need a break.
Maybe a favorite room,
A chair,
Or a place outdoors.
Visualize this place where you have felt safe before and imagine this place taking shape in your mind's eye.
Picture all of the details of this safe place.
Allow your breath to be the architect of this visual exploration as you weave this safe place in your mind.
Allow it to form and notice how it feels to venture through this safe space.
Now that you have this safe place fixed in your mind,
This image can serve as your safety zone throughout this emotional awareness meditation.
Notice how you're feeling right now.
Feel into your body.
Feel the sensation of safety.
How does it feel to be safe?
How do your muscles respond to feeling safe in the body?
Are they relaxed and supple?
How does your face feel when you feel relaxed?
Is all the tension melted away?
Are your brows soft?
Are your temples relaxed?
Your lips soft?
Your jaw unclenched?
Where in your body do you feel this feeling of safety?
Notice your body while you have this feeling right now.
Allow your breath to melt you into the foundation supporting you.
If at any moment you need to take pause,
This is the space for you to return.
Emotions are experienced in the body.
As we journey through each feeling,
Notice where in your body you are feeling sensation.

Tightness,
Tingling,
Pain,
Comfort,
Lightness,
Warmth.
