So for this one,
Let's pick another theme.
I'm thinking the theme of feeling over-pressured or overburdened.
I have a sneaking suspicion,
Probably we all feel that from time to time.
And maybe there's some aspect of your life that feels that way right now.
So,
Begin with Dong Lien for yourself.
First decide,
Of course,
What's up for you in that regard.
And then we do Dong Lien for ourselves.
And then we do Dong Lien for ourselves.
So again,
You might imagine your small suffering self who's feeling over-pressured,
Overworked,
Overburdened,
Something like that.
And tuck that suffering one right into your heart.
Breathe in that suffering,
Taking it away from them.
You don't want them to suffer.
You want them to feel unburdened,
Lightened.
So you breathe that in.
And then on the exhale,
The bright,
Spacious clouds go from all directions from around your heart into them,
Soaking into them.
And their pinched face begins to relax.
They begin to be held by your heart.
And breathe in the dense clouds again.
And exhale the spacious,
Bright clouds a couple of times.
.
.
.
.
Again,
Keeping the in-breaths and out-breaths even.
.
Really allow yourself to take in that suffering on the in-breath.
.
And see their face brightening on the exhale.
.
And think of somebody you know who is under a lot of pressure right now.
.
Somehow overburdened.
You want to take that suffering away from them.
And replace it with complete happiness always.
And so you see them in front of you and you breathe for them.
.
Again,
Visualizing that suffering as dense,
Heavy,
Maybe sticky clouds.
Breathing right into your heart.
Your compassionate heart.
.
And on the exhale,
Sending out the bright,
Spacious,
Glowing clouds of joy.
.
Now think of another person who also is feeling pressured or overburdened somehow.
Or maybe there was a time when they did.
Again,
Time not being linear can be this moment.
And so we breathe for them.
.
.
.
.
And now pick somebody in this room.
One of your fellow students who no doubt also has felt this before.
If not right now.
And breathe for them.
.
And now you might imagine parents who have a lot of responsibilities and work.
At home.
And society is not supporting them very much.
And so we feel their suffering.
And we breathe for them.
We want to take away that suffering.
And we allow ourselves to actually feel for them,
Feel that suffering.
And yet we also feel the joy as we send it out to them.
You may know parents who are feeling that right now.
And then you can easily extend that out to really all parents who feel the weight of that responsibility.
And they're bound to feel overwhelmed at times.
And those dense clouds.
And breathe out the spacious clouds.
Seeing them soaking in.
And breathing this in from all directions.
And breathing out.
And also many,
Many people with big responsibilities in their jobs.
Whether they might be doctors or teachers or many,
Many other professions.
And they feel the weight of the importance of their job.
Maybe surgeons.
People.
We want to take away that feeling of being burdened and pressured.
We take away that suffering.
And we replace it with happiness,
Ultimate happiness.
Always.
And then knowing that everyone at some time or another has felt the suffering of this.
We breathe for everyone.
We don't want them to suffer.
We want them to be ultimately happy.
Always.
And one more breath for all of our fellow sentient beings.
All of our fellow waves.
Who are with us in this great ocean.
