Between doing and not doing,
Where is the practice?
It could be Shakespeare,
Couldn't it?
It's not doing.
.
.
I've written here.
.
.
It's not doing.
.
.
Let me put it in the comments.
And if it's not doing,
Then what is it?
We can't do not doing.
So we can't actually practice.
It's a misnomer really,
Isn't it,
Practice?
You've got to call it something when you go up and don't sit and do nothing for a thousand and you need to call it something.
I'm just going to go upstairs.
I'm spending some time meditating.
I'm not sure if it's going to be more sensible,
Is it?
I'm just as being,
How would you.
.
.
It might,
But you can try and do being,
Can't you?
You've got to play with this yourself.
This is what I say about meditation instruction.
You have to play with it and every now and then you notice a little spark of something and you think that has to be it because it feels so aligned.
And you may find being helps more.
You may feel awake helps more.
Sometimes one,
Sometimes the other.
Sometimes no work whatsoever helps.
So you've got to kind of work with that yourself.
It is a bit like Sona and his getting the tuning the musical instrument.
You're kind of listening somehow.
So you're not doing anything except perhaps you could just about say you were listening.
Because when we listen,
We're sort of waiting for something to come to us somehow,
Aren't we?
And when we're looking at something,
I think we tend to fix it more.
Whereas if we're listening for something,
Or even if we want to feel something on the skin or smell something,
We tend more to be waiting for it to arrive,
Aren't we?
So there's other senses that are better in some ways.
Seeing could be the same,
But we tend to project outwards with this vision.
So again,
It's like we're not going to get it right.
So we say we're going to do something and then we don't.
Or we say we're not going to do something and then we don't.
But just not getting too heavy about it.
See what helps your sense of humour.
It's too heavy.
But yes,
I think you're going to be with that question from now on.
Shannon,
The phrase you often use yourself is to rest in the awakened heart the best you can.
You're not going to say anything.
But you can do resting,
Can I guess?
You can focus on the heart.
I mean,
Sometimes people think that means you focus on the heart.
I'm not focusing on the heart at all.
So again,
It's quite subtle.
It's an opening,
Isn't it?
Again,
I think each of us at different times will find a different way of.
.
.
Different thing will trigger it and you'll recognise it's the same thing.
Another coordinate on the same point.
Just noticing,
You know,
When you notice you're trying to do,
Not to try to not do.
But just kind of become aware of that.
And that in itself becomes the interesting thing.
So you're not trying to reject the doing,
But then become aware of it.
And it itself,
As it brings its own inspiration as you see it now is.
