Namaste.
This is Kristin and this is a guided Yoga Nidrada meditation to explore your inner resource or your own personal safe haven known as Asriya to invoke grounding energy that guides us to take control and responsibility of our own happiness,
Peace and well-being.
This practice will help you to discover,
Create and define a sanctuary within yourself.
A touchstone that you can call upon at any time like an ally.
A home away from home.
A place where you feel safe,
Supported,
Loved,
At peace within yourself.
Adjust your headphones and take a few moments here to prepare to build your little Yoga Nidrada nest.
Finding a comfortable position laying on your back,
Maybe your side,
In a prone position or even seated.
Wherever you decide to land,
Ensure that you are comfortable,
Supported,
Warm in your little Yoga Nidrada cocoon.
You might even tuck yourself in.
Reach for an eye pillow and begin to relax back into the experience of wakeful regenerative sleep.
Unfurl the fingers,
Soften into the toes,
Adjust the pelvis and hips.
Make any final adjustments here so you may become completely relaxed,
Free in this conscious,
Intentional moment of reprieve.
Take a deep breath in through the nose.
Exhale to release the entire weight of your body to the earth beneath you.
Letting go completely.
Here we'll begin to weave in Ujjayi breath or ocean sounding breath.
Paying particular attention to the exhale,
Imagine as if you're trying to fog a mirror.
Breathe in deeply.
Exhale through the mouth slowly.
And take three more of these warming,
Soothing breaths.
You may continue to exhale through the mouth or perhaps you try to close the mouth,
Slowing down the exhale,
Listening to the sound of the breath.
Allow your whole body to conform to the landscape of props beneath you now.
Whole body relaxing back.
Continue to pay special attention to the exhale here.
With each breath,
Could you let go more deeply?
Begin into all of those tender places that require a little bit more loving attention.
Whole body melting.
Begin to welcome this same softening into all of the tiny muscles around and behind the eyes.
Eyebrows.
Forehead.
Both eyes resting back.
Dissolve into the quietude of the darkness beyond closed eyes.
Observe what's present here.
Beyond the eyelids.
Beyond sight.
All other senses wide open.
Notice the gentle touch of air against the skin.
Places of coolness.
Warm.
Relax the jaw.
The teeth might part.
Bring a special attention to the ears.
Not only hearing,
But intimately listening.
To all of the different sounds present around you now.
The sound of your breath.
Your heartbeat.
The pulse of vital energies within.
What would it sound like?
What frequency is pure beingness?
Resting back into this oasis behind closed eyes.
Oftentimes there's no place I'd rather be than behind closed eyes.
Pure beingness.
Give yourself permission to rest into the peace and calm that abides here.
Like a moth to a flame,
Let yourself be silently drawn to the heart center.
Listen.
What does the heart need?
The intelligence of the heart is wise,
Ancient,
And honest.
Just listen.
What does your heart desire?
Welcome it in like an intention,
A sin-culpa,
A touchstone,
A heart's longing.
Maybe for your practice,
Or even for your life.
What does the heart need in this moment?
Perhaps you are already working with the sin-culpa.
Or perhaps you use one of the following.
I welcome peace into my life and into my heart.
Or I am at peace within myself.
Or I face any challenges that might come my way from a place of peace and calm.
All in your sin-culpa like a mantra,
Three times with three sacred breaths,
Etching it out.
Relax the thinking mind now and begin to tune into sensations,
Both hemispheres of the brain softening open as you drop away from thinking and dissolve your awareness into the physical body.
Awaken to the experience of just sensing,
Feeling all of the vital energies as they are present here.
As you rest,
We'll begin the rotation of consciousness throughout the body.
Allow your awareness to move like a stream of flowing,
Healing nectar from point to point,
Becoming completely aware of the vital sensations that exist within each region of the body.
Begin to your pure beingness.
Begin to bring all of your attention to the center of the forehead,
The space between the eyebrows,
Mind's eye center.
Drawing your awareness down to the base of the throat,
Heart center,
Right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm of the right hand,
The right hand thumb,
First finger,
Second,
Third,
Third,
Little finger,
The whole right hand,
Wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder,
Center of the chest,
Moving your awareness over to the left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm of the left hand,
Left hand thumb,
First finger,
Second,
Third,
Little finger,
The whole left hand,
Wrist,
Elbow,
Shoulder,
Center of the chest,
Heart center,
Solar plexus,
Navel center,
The right hip,
Knee back of the knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole of the right foot,
Big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
Baby toe,
The whole right foot,
Ankle,
Knee,
Hip,
Navel center,
The left hip,
Knee,
And back of the knee,
Ankle,
Heel,
Sole of the left foot,
Big toe,
Second,
Third,
Fourth,
Baby toe,
The whole left foot,
Ankle,
Knee,
Hip,
Navel center,
Solar plexus,
Heart center,
Base of the throat,
Center of the forehead,
Crown of the head,
Back of the head,
Allow your awareness to rest in between the center of the forehead and the back of the head.
Draw all of your awareness to the right ear.
Notice the right ear listening deep within the right ear,
The left ear open and receptive.
Notice the left ear listening deep within the left ear,
The right eye radiant,
The left eye sensing both eyes together,
The tip of the tongue,
Root of the tongue,
Inside of the cheeks,
Teeth and gums,
Tip of the nose.
Begin to sense the flow of air within the nostrils,
Seamless flow of air in the nose.
Free yourself to float here on the waves of the breath,
Breath flowing in and breath flowing out.
Notice the breath in the right nostril,
Notice the breath in the right side lung,
Sensing the breath in the left nostril and in the left side lung,
Sensing the breath now in both nostrils,
In the sinuses,
In the back of the throat,
In both lungs simultaneously.
Notice the breath filling the volume of both lungs together,
Softly inflating and deflating,
Like the rise and the fall of the tides and you are the moon,
Completely effortless attraction.
Relax into the peace that the breath brings,
Like a mantra,
Peace in and peace out,
In and out.
With each breath,
Begin to pay attention to the exhale,
Each exhale,
Imagine you are imagine yourself sinking one inch deeper down into the earth below.
Inhale,
Exhale,
Sinking softly,
Deeper and deeper,
The whole body sinking down and down,
Letting go.
And now,
Bring attention to the inhale,
Each inhale imagine the body floating,
Filling up weightless,
Like a dandelion seed in the wind,
Effortless,
Floating on the warm currents of the wind,
Up and up,
Higher and higher,
The whole body floating.
And now return to a sense of the body sinking,
Inch by inch,
Breath by breath,
Deeper down,
With each exhale.
And again,
The whole body floating,
Weightless,
In love with where the wind takes you,
Breath by breath on each inhale.
And now divide all of your attention into both sensations simultaneously,
Sinking and floating,
Without merging the two,
Experience them separately,
But at the same time,
Both sensations,
Sinking,
Floating,
Letting that go.
Notice yourself resting here,
Awake in the where.
Begin to imagine yourself amidst a dense lush rainforest landscape,
All around you a dense forest of towering trees,
Ancient and wise with stories to tell.
Within this rainforest,
You find yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful crystal clear pool,
An oasis,
Your bare feet warm atop a small staircase that leads down into the healing waters.
Take hold of the wooden railing as you begin to descend step by step,
Like relaxing into a warm bath.
Gazing into these healing waters,
Notice the reflection at the surface.
The reflection of your inner resource begins to emerge.
Imagine gazing down at the most sacred and nourishing place you could imagine,
A healing refuge,
A place that you feel naturally drawn to,
Where you feel at peace.
Gaze upon it with wonder and longing.
Notice what's present here,
In the most beautiful,
Peaceful and safe haven,
Somewhere that makes you feel safe,
Supported,
Loved,
At home,
Nurtured and grounded.
A safe place to call your home,
Where you feel completely at ease,
Peaceful and warm.
Feel yourself being silently ushered to your inner sanctuary,
As you step down and down into the landscape of your own ashraya.
It's okay,
For you are safe here.
Become completely immersed into the reality of it.
Completely relaxed,
Resting in the healing essence of this sacred place,
For you deserve it.
You are worthy of it.
Notice what's present here.
Perhaps the sun is shining somewhere warm,
A place in nature,
A quiet place in solitude,
Or maybe with your beloved.
Welcome it all in,
From your imagination or perhaps memory.
Notice the backdrop of sounds that are present,
Colors,
Textures,
Aromas.
Welcome in a 360 degree view of your most happy place.
Take it all in,
Absorb all of the nourishing benefits this sacred place has to offer,
And rest here for a while.
It's not going anywhere.
Simmer in its warm embrace.
Letting go of the imagery now,
But hold onto the sensory experience.
Simply rest back into your witnessing presence of the peace and the calm that abides here,
The sensation of your inner resource.
Relax into your pure beingness,
Like the sky,
Quietly profound.
Begin to welcome in your Senkopa,
Your heart's calling.
Make the path less traveled and decide which direction you wish your life to go.
Perhaps you used one of the following.
I welcome peace into my life and into my heart,
Or I am at peace within myself,
Or I face any challenges that might come my way from a place of peace and calm.
Call it in,
Repeat it,
Like a whisper in your mind three times alongside three breaths.
Bask in it.
Breathe in deeply.
Exhale to release.
Inhale.
Exhale.
One more.
Take a little while longer here to rest in the essence of your divine presence.
Enjoy your own company and what it feels like to be alive.
This is what we were made for,
What we were born to do.
To walk the earth shining our inner light,
Facing whatever comes from a place of peace and wholeness.
You might stay a little longer.
When you're ready,
Breathe in.
Exhale all of your awareness into the tips of your fingers.
Slowly start to wiggle the fingers.
Breathe in.
Exhale all of your awareness into the tips of the toes,
Softly wiggling fingers and toes,
Awakening from your resting state slowly,
But carrying with you now the ally of your inner resource.
All it takes is remembering.
