Music And closing your eyes either fully or partially.

And taking three deep breaths.

Allowing a longer out-breath.

Allowing that soothed part of the breath to go on a bit longer than usual.

Feeling the breath nourish as we breathe in and sooth as we breathe out.

Allowing our body to rest.

Being aware of any tension in our body,

In our shoulders,

In our head,

Our belly,

Our back,

Our thighs or our buttocks.

Allowing some of that tension to leave without forcing it to leave.

Just giving it permission to go.

And then bringing your awareness to the inside of your body.

To your internal organs,

Your bones,

Your muscles,

Your fat.

Doing a very gradual sweep of your body.

Starting from your feet and moving up towards your head.

Being aware of all of the parts of your body that you don't see.

But that help you out every day to do the things that you need to do.

We don't always appreciate our body.

In fact sometimes our body lets us down.

But through all of that it's doing the best it can.

Our bones,

Allowing us to move,

Supporting our frame.

Our muscles,

Tendons and ligaments also allowing us to move,

Giving us mobility.

Our internal organs supporting us.

Allowing us to breathe,

Pumping blood through our system.

Fueling our system,

Digesting and eliminating.

And those systems that give us immunity,

Our immune system.

Feeling some gratitude for all that our internal world allows us to do.
