So making yourself comfortable.

Closing your eyes either fully or partially.

And taking a few deep breaths.

And on each out breath really feeling your body relaxing,

Releasing.

Noticing your shoulders easing down with each out breath.

Noticing your chest relaxing with each out breath.

Allowing the muscles around your eyes to relax with each out breath.

Muscles around your mouth and in your jaw.

You might not even know that they're tense.

That those muscles are holding energy.

Inviting them to relax as well.

Allowing your diaphragm to fully rest on each out breath.

Maybe even feeling your diaphragm,

Feeling the weight of your diaphragm.

As you allow the air to leave your body and you invite your diaphragm to rest.

Giving your belly full permission to relax.

Allowing your belly to gently fall,

Fall forward a little bit.

No need to hold your belly muscles.

You might not even have noticed that you've been holding your belly muscles.

Allowing the muscles in your buttocks,

Your glutes.

Allowing them to relax on the out breath.

If you notice that you're holding any of the muscles in your pelvic bowl.

Maybe inviting them to relax a little on the out breath.

If the muscles in your thighs feel a little tense,

Inviting them as well to relax,

To release,

To let go.

Scanning your body and noticing if there are any other muscles that are contracted right now.

Allowing them to relax.

How is it for your body's only task in this moment to be release,

Relax,

Let go,

Even if just for a moment.

Your body is such a hard worker.

Working even when you're not aware that it's working.

Getting itself on the lookout,

Preparing to move into action.

How is it to give this old friend a little reprieve?

Allowing them to relax.

And finally taking a few deep breaths,

Bringing your awareness to your breathing.

When you're ready,

Gently opening your eyes,

Taking your time.

Maybe starting to orient yourself to the space that you're in,

Looking around the space that you're in.

Having a little stretch,

The sip of your drink.

And then taking a few deep breaths,

Bringing your awareness to your breathing.
