So making yourself comfortable and closing your eyes either fully or partially.

Taking a few deep breaths.

And tuning into your breathing.

Becoming aware that you are breathing.

And getting a sense of the air that you're breathing.

Imagining that you can see the air that you're breathing in.

The air that you're releasing out.

You might see the air in your mind's eye as molecules.

You might see it as a mist.

You might simply be aware that it's there without it having any particular form in your mind's eye.

Simply knowing that there is something that you're breathing in.

And something that you're releasing out.

You might even see back to the history of the air that you're breathing in.

Getting a sense that the air around you has been to many other places before it's been to you.

The air around you came from a long distance away.

Before you've moved and you're now in air that you were not close to before.

The air that you're breathing in and the air that you're breathing out.

You may never come in contact with again.

Breathing in contact with this air in this moment.

Then you're releasing it out.

The air around us is always changing.

It's always new.

It's always different.

Just noticing what it's like to be in relationship with this ever changing presence of air.

Always new,

Always different.

What we breathe in becomes a part of our body making us new and different in every moment.

Every breath.

Every breath an opportunity opportunity to greet something new.

To refresh.

To change perspective.

As we're coming to the completion of our little arriving meditation.

Maybe taking a moment to offer some gratitude for the novelty of the air around us.

Always different always new.

Always a new opportunity.

Then expanding your awareness to your body as a whole.

Becoming aware of the physicality of your body.

Maybe starting to move your fingers,

Your toes,

Your wrists,

Your ankles,

Your shoulders.

When you're ready gently opening your eyes.

Maybe to taking a look around the space that you're in just to orient yourself to this physical space.

Having a stretch,

A sip of your drink.

I’ve done this one multiple times. It’s helping me cope with grief and reflect on impermanence!
