Hi,
This is Christine Goetz and today I invite you to this meditation to lift the weight of your shoulders,
To let go of that what is endures and to return back to your own essence.
Now,
Sit up straight.
Have your spine erect,
Your feet either firmly planted on the ground or cross-legged,
Whatever you prefer.
And take a nice deep breath,
Deep into your belly and slowly exhale.
Taking another deep breath,
Deep into your belly and then slowly exhale.
Continue breathing in your own rhythm,
In your own way,
Following the breath flowing into your nose,
Into your belly and out of your nose.
Imagine how roots coming out of your feet,
Out of your leg,
Connecting you with the earth beneath you in your own way until you feel firmly grounded and held.
Take a breath or two from those roots into your body,
Allowing that energy to flow into your body and back into the earth.
Now become aware of a light above you and feel how this light is streaming into the top of your head,
Into your left and right hemisphere,
Illuminating your entire head,
Flowing down,
Down your throat,
Into your shoulders,
Down your arms,
Your elbows,
Your lower arms,
Into your hands and all the way into your fingertips,
Allowing the light to continue its journey into your chest area,
Into your hearts and your lungs,
Down into your solar plexus,
The pit of your gut and it's flowing down into your belly,
Into your intestines,
Into all of your organs,
Down into your root,
The base of your spine and into your legs until your entire body is illuminated.
You also take a few breaths together with this light.
You might feel as if a string of light at the end of your,
At the top of your spine is lifting you up and holding your skeleton.
You might even want to lift your shoulders with your next inhale and just roll them back so you're just hanging in there,
Sitting comfortably and straight.
Have your chin tucked in ever so slightly,
Your palms facing upwards,
Breathing in and out of your nose,
Calming,
Calming down yourself,
Arriving in the here and now,
Calming down that beautiful nervous system of yours with every breath.
You might even use the affirmation of,
As you inhale,
You just think,
I am,
And as you exhale,
You say,
Calm,
In,
I am,
Out,
Calm,
In,
I am,
Out,
Calm,
In,
I am,
Out,
Calm.
Now follow this in your own rhythm.
You might experience how your body is getting slowly more and more relaxed,
How your exhalations are extending,
And you keep breathing in your own rhythm.
Now focus all your attention on your heart space and let us tune into the frequency of peace.
And in order to tune into that frequency,
You think peace.
You might hold a vision of peace,
Maybe the peace sign in front of your third eye,
Your first eye,
The place before you,
Between your eyebrows.
Maybe you just imagine seeing the letters peace up there.
Whatever resonates with you,
Just do that for a moment and hold that picture of peace.
And as you keep that,
Just breathe into your heart,
Breathing in peace.
And as you exhale,
You exhale peace all around you,
Into your heart and out of your heart.
You can be a bit playful with that,
Breathing into the front,
Exhaling out to the back.
Maybe going for breathing into the back and exhaling to the front.
Maybe you take a few breaths side by side or in circular movements.
Maybe you feel peace as you breathe in or maybe you feel like you're making it up,
You are creating it with your mind.
And that is okay.
That is actually perfect.
Because either way it's worked beautifully.
Breathing peace into your heart and exhaling peace from your heart space all around you.
With your attention,
Just feel into the space that your shoulders contain.
Feel into that space that your shoulders are taking up,
The space that is reserved to your shoulders.
Feel into that,
Your left and your right shoulder.
Just be aware of it.
Right now,
Just feel how it feels.
Nothing to change,
Nothing to shift,
To transform,
To transmute.
Just be with what is.
And as if you were looking at your shoulders and as you potentially just feel some weight on your shoulders,
Maybe some tension in your shoulders,
Look at it and ask,
Is this mine?
Contemplate wonder,
Is this really mine?
And honor that response that you receive.
Now let us lift the parts that aren't ours,
That aren't yours.
So just set the intention and let us work with that energy and say,
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I do let go.
Maybe you visualize like wiping some dust off your shoulders or maybe some actual weight.
Maybe you take off a backpack,
Maybe there are balloons lifting the weight.
Maybe the weight receives wings and just flies away or maybe the wind just blows it away.
In whatever way you like to visualize the weight lifting off,
Leaving,
Handing it over to the power of the wind,
Just create,
Be creative.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
I'm ready to release that which is not mine and I'll let go.
Now tune back into your shoulders and feel the space that you have created.
Tune into that new space in your shoulders.
Tune into your entire spine without that weight.
You might even straighten your spine again one more time,
Just really feeling that.
Now breathing into your heart,
Freedom.
I am free.
When you inhale,
I am free.
When you exhale,
In,
I am free.
Out,
I am free.
In your own rhythm,
Feel that freedom.
Sense it,
Smell it,
Touch it,
Maybe even taste it.
Yes,
You are free.
You are free.
Feel that celebration of freedom in your body,
That lightness in your cells,
In your shoulders,
The new alignment in your spine.
Stay here for a few more moments,
Allowing yourself to embody this freedom,
This space.
And you can repeat this exercise as often as you like.
And even during a normal day,
You can just as a reminder,
As an anchor,
Just wipe off the weight of your shoulders in your waking day.
And whenever you are ready,
You can place your hands in front of your heart.
Rub your hands until they are beautifully warm.
Once your hands are warm,
You can place them in front of your eyes and from the dark safe and secure place.
Whenever you are ready,
You can open your eyes and welcome yourself back,
Enveloping yourself in gratitude.
And curiously,
Just watch how this new world and this new you that you have just created,
Lives her life,
Steps into this world.
Enjoy.
