Hi,
I'm Piper and this is a meditation for connecting to intuition.
You can start by finding a comfortable seat that can be sitting cross-legged,
Sitting in a chair or on a couch,
Just anywhere where you can find a nice tall spine.
As you settle into your seat and find your nice tall spine,
You can close down your eyes if it feels comfortable to do so.
You can begin to let your awareness travel to your breath.
Breathing in and out through your nose and gradually starting to lengthen and deepen your inhales and your exhales.
Deepening your breath in the way that you do when you go to sleep at night and your breath deepens just as a result of your body feeling relaxed,
Open.
As you start to lengthen and deepen your breath,
With your inhales you can feel your breath expanding all the way down to your low belly,
Maybe even placing a hand or both hands on your low belly so that you can feel the space expanding with your inhales.
And then finding a soft drawing in of that low belly to your spine as you press out every last bit of air with your exhales.
Allow these really deep full breaths into your low belly to help you really root down into the support of gravity beneath you.
Feeling the weight of your hips and your legs,
Feeling the bowl of your pelvis.
Then feeling how as your breath moves it can really ground you into the space of your low belly,
Of your hips,
Of your legs.
You can let your control of your breath soften now just focusing on the natural movement of breath as it flows into the space of your lungs,
Your ribcage.
Trying to connect now to more of a 360 degree awareness of your breath as it moves into the space of your chest.
Feeling as your breath moves into the front,
The sides,
The back,
The abdomen with your inhales.
Feeling a softening back in towards the middle of the space with your exhales.
As you feel your breath moving,
Circulating around this space,
Start to draw your attention and your focus to what is at the center of that space,
The space of your heart.
Breathing maybe even to the beating of your heart.
And then seeing if you can feel that heartbeat extending beyond your heart into your arms,
Your legs,
Your hands and your feet.
Feeling the circulation,
The energy,
The life that each heartbeat,
Each breath is bringing to your whole body.
Then feeling your body receiving this nourishment.
Maintaining your awareness of that nourishment,
That feeling of receptivity and still that feeling of being rooted into the space of your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your legs.
Start to let your awareness travel to the space between your eyebrows.
Allowing that space to soften as if the softening of that space is opening up a window into your own mind.
Allowing yourself just to observe and notice what exists within this space.
Observing is an observation rather than a judgment.
And just witnessing what exists within this space.
Witnessing what exists within this space as you would witness clouds in the sky.
Knowing that you are not the clouds but the sky itself.
Receiving whatever weather comes through.
Observing,
Noticing.
Notice what comes up within this space as you come into that more sky awareness of watching,
Observing.
Really approaching your observation of this space from a place of receptivity without expectation.
Trusting that whatever comes up in this space is what you need to hear right now.
Understanding that what comes up is an invitation.
Really as you approach a witnessing of this space,
Let yourself come back to a beginner's mind.
Not trying to force or know anything or project anything into this space.
But really remaining curious.
Seeing if you can approach this space more as an explorer on uncharted territory.
Becoming really sensitive to the environment of your inner space in the same way you would if you were exploring somewhere new.
Sensitive to the sounds,
Smells,
The taste.
As you journey into this space of exploration,
Of receptivity,
Maybe there's a question you would like to ask.
Something you're looking for clarity on in your life.
Drop the seed of that question into this really exploratory,
Really receptive space.
Notice if a response arises.
Trying to stay really open to what arises.
What comes up.
You're welcome to stay in this exploratory space,
This receptive space,
As long as you need.
You're ready to come out.
You can let your awareness travel back to your breath.
As you let the space between your eyebrows soften.
As you let your gaze soften.
And as you let your awareness travel back to your breath,
You can once again take a few deep breaths into your low belly.
Help you feel the support of gravity,
The support of your breath.
Then as you feel ready,
You can soften your gaze,
Open your eyes,
And slowly return back into your day.
Thank you so much for joining me.
