Hi and welcome to this meditation where we will focus on the areas of the chakras in the body to vitalize the energy flow in each chakra.

Our main focus this meditation is our root chakra,

Mooladhara,

For a sense of grounding,

Stability,

Trust and growth.

Now please take a comfortable seat and do the necessary adjustments to find a nice,

Peaceful position for your body.

Invite your spine to grow tall and find center in your own physical foundation.

Feel free to move and change position whenever you need.

Close your eyes.

Welcome everything that comes up into your space as a meditation partner.

Releasing the weight of your body into the earth.

Feel the weight of your shoulders,

Palms,

Hips,

Legs releasing down.

Relax.

Take a couple of deep breaths and allow yourself to connect to the earth beneath you.

Connect to your whole body,

Feeling stable and steady in your seat.

The inner core of your being energetically lifting up through your pelvic floor,

Abdomen,

Chest up through the center of your throat all the way up the midbrain to the crown,

Rising upwards gently,

Effortlessly.

Take one deep breath.

The outer layers of your body releasing down,

Softening,

Heavy,

Stable.

The energetic body rising,

Lifting,

Lengthening up,

Sense the openness and freedom.

And I want you now to tune into the trust that within you lies the knowledge and wisdom of those who came before you,

Your ancestors deeply rooted in you,

Being a part of who you are.

Feel yourself making room for that trust.

It has always been there,

Guiding you,

Supporting you,

Just like the earth beneath you.

The same earth that gave love,

Nourishment and support to your ancestors.

Now bringing your attention onto your breath and really focusing the breath along the spine.

Inhale from root to top,

Exhale at the crown,

Releasing tension.

A few breaths like this.

Inhale from root to top,

Exhale at the crown,

Releasing tension.

In Sanskrit,

The word shakra means disc or wheel and refers to the energy centers in your body.

These wheels or discs of spinning energy each correspond to certain nerve bundles,

Major organs.

To function at their best,

Your chakras need to stay balanced.

There are seven main chakras that run along your spine,

Starting at the root or the base of your spine,

A safe connection to the earth and the soil,

The forest and the mountains.

Start to sense the area in your body where your first chakra is placed.

Leave down in your pelvic floor in the center of your body,

Just in front of your tailbone.

Breathe into these parts,

Inhaling from the earth and expanding in your mooladhara chakra.

Visualize the warm color of red filling this area.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Feel how the color of red brings about life and vitality.

Mooladhara relates to the formation of the physical body and takes place during prenatal development in infancy.

It is formed early in your mother's womb.

Feel your feet and legs,

The foundation of your body which connects directly to the earth and the element for this chakra is earth.

Just take in these affirmations as they represent the connection to your root chakra.

The earth supports me and my needs.

I am here.

I am home.

I am immersed in abundance.

I trust my body and its wisdom.

It is safe for me to be here.

Slow deep breaths.

Feeling yourself firmly grounded yet rising tall up towards the sky.

Expanding with every inhalation.

Relaxing with every exhale.

The mooladhara chakra roots us into our bodies,

The physical world and the earth.

Our roots represent where we came from,

The earth,

The womb,

Our ancestors and family and our personal history.

Take one deep breath and slowly start to move your body just a little bit.

Raise your hands on your thighs and slide your hands up and down your legs gently massaging all the way to the soles of your feet,

Your toes.

Little massage there.

Up your legs again to your lower belly.

Circular motion.

Let your belly soften.

Wash your lower back and back to your belly,

Legs,

Feet.

Do rounds like this.

And now allow for a complete stillness.

Take a moment to feel it all.

And just like the mighty oak once was a little nut that stood its ground,

You are deeply rooted.

Safe and ever growing and transforming.

You are here.

You are at home.

Thank yourself for this time spent to nourish all that is you from the innermost core of your being to your physical body.

Our bodies are the home of our spirit.

This body is ours to care for in a brief moment in time and this is how we show it appreciation,

Love and gratitude.

Take a deep inhale.

Expand in all directions sides back from root top.

Pause at the top and exhale and relax fully into the earth.

Namaste.

Thank you so much for joining me.
