Welcome everyone.
Today I'm gonna be guiding you in a simple breathing exercise.
This is a great tool for when you just need a moment to really ground yourself,
To really reconnect with the present moment.
So when you're ready,
Make sure you're in a comfortable space,
Some peace and quiet if you can,
And just start to gently close your eyes.
Really start to relax your shoulders,
Relax your eyebrows,
Relax your jaw,
Let go of all tension in the body.
These are little things that we don't even realize we're doing sometimes,
But the tension just slowly builds.
So now's the time to just let it all go.
And we're gonna take three deep breaths in through the nose and then out through the mouth.
Remember here,
We're not only gonna fill up our lungs,
But we're gonna go past that.
We're gonna go deep into our belly.
We're gonna fill up all different parts of our body.
So when you're ready,
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Think of a time when you might have woken up and you go to grab your first drink of water and you really feel the water trickling down,
Falling down as the beautiful waterfall hits all different parts of your body,
Past the lungs,
Into the belly,
Maybe even down to your toes.
That's what we're looking for when we breathe in this air.
So when you're ready,
Take another deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Really fill up your belly,
Fill up your back,
Fill up your shoulders.
Last big deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth.
With your eyes still closed,
Place your right hand over your heart and your left hand over your belly.
This way you can really feel yourself,
Your heart beating,
The air in your belly,
You're here,
You're present.
And together we're going to say,
I am here,
I am capable,
And I will overcome.
Really release all tension and just focus on this present moment.
One more time together,
Eyes still closed,
Breathing in and out deeply,
Peacefully.
Repeat after me,
I am here,
I am capable,
And I will overcome.
Repeat this as many times as you need to and I'll talk to you next time.
