The objective of this session is to calm the mind chatter. Commencing with letting go of body tension and finding easy breath, the dialog then moves to a selection of words, with silence between. Words provide the mind an easy focus, and the pause space between the words, provides a sense of quiet spacious mind. Narrated in a calm Australian accent this offering is helpful to slow the acitve mind chatter.

Welcome to this session,

Words and Silence by Kirsten Dossel,

Still Potential.

This session can be followed in sitting or lying.

As always a comfortable position is best.

Please feel welcome to shift for comfort throughout the session.

As you settle into your position,

Scan through your body,

Releasing and letting go,

Melting any tension.

Check your breathing and allow your body to come to a calm rhythm and pattern of breath.

You may find that a deep cleansing breath out and then in helps you to sink and release further.

Allow your body to breathe itself.

The object of this session is to slow the mental chatter and hopefully experience some sense of quiet and ease.

The structure of this offering invites you to start in place of physical relaxation,

As you have already done,

Calm breath and soft muscles,

And then to bring easy and opening listening to particular words and to the pause between the words,

Allowing both the words and the pause to facilitate calm.

There is no need to engage in any level of mental activity.

This may be your tendency at first listening.

For example,

I may say the word joy.

Simply allow that word to come into your awareness.

No need to think about the word or what it might mean to you.

Just receive the word,

As you might let the words of a song flow over you.

If images come to mind or the energy of emotions bubble up,

Notice these with that sense of alert curiosity.

This session is best received with light,

Curious and an open,

Mindful attitude.

And so to begin.

Once again,

Scan your body,

Gather your attention.

You may need to consciously leave behind things from your day and invite yourself to be fully present here now.

Should your mind wander through the dialogue,

Gently and with utmost kindness,

Regather your soft awareness to the words and spaces.

Now,

Bring your gentle focus to your body,

To your easy breath.

Check in with your mental activity and your emotions.

As you begin to transition to your next activity,

Tune in to awareness of your sense of hearing.

Noticing the sounds of life around you.

Gently open your eyes,

Begin to stretch and move.

Draw in a deeper breath and perhaps sigh it out.

And transition in your own time.

This routine often requires some practice to gain full benefit.

I hope you have enjoyed your experience today.

Thank you.

Go well.

Thank you πŸ™ bookmarked I would prefer a longer gap between the words, as an alternative when I have more time. I love the uniqueness and will return to this. πŸ™πŸŒ»πŸ™
