Hello and welcome.

Today we're going to chant the Gayatri Mantra.

Before we begin,

I would like to share some benefits of chanting this mantra.

This is a very powerful mantra and it is said by chanting the Gayatri Mantra every single day will help bring about clarity of thought,

Reduce stress,

And strengthen one's connection with the divine.

It is also said to protect oneself from any external negative influences.

Although this mantra can be chanted at any time of the day,

I recommend finding a time in the day that you can integrate into your routine,

Maybe find a favorite spot in the house or the office and make it a part of your daily ritual.

Ideally you want to chant the mantra three times a day,

Morning,

Afternoon,

And at night before bedtime.

But if that's not possible,

Find just one time of the day and all you need to do is just chant the mantra three times.

If and when you do have more time,

You can chant the mantra for 108 times.

The general meaning of this mantra is,

We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord,

The Creator,

Whose divine light illuminates all realms,

The physical,

The mental,

And the spiritual.

May this divine light illuminate our intellect and inspire us.

Sit comfortably in a quiet place,

Either close your eyes or point your gaze to the floor and begin to visualize a beautiful,

Radiant,

Warm,

Golden sun whose rays are beautifully landing upon your skin.

Begin to deepen your inhales,

Take slow,

Deep breaths,

Long,

Intentional exhales.

Keep your mind's focus on your breathing.

While you're breathing,

You can soak in the benefits of this mantra by simply listening to the chant.

If you wish,

You can pause and do a call and response type of chanting.

You can chant out aloud or you can chant in your mind.

When you're ready,

Once again,

Take a deep inhale as we begin.
