Hello,

This is the twin weapons city.

This is a meditation for new special needs mamas.

When we are given difficult news or information like diagnosis,

Loss,

Or anything deeply unwanted,

It can feel like too much,

Too soon,

And the pain can get lodged in our thoughts,

Emotions,

And bodies.

We need to open to a path of metabolizing this pain rather than letting it get stuck in our minds,

Thoughts,

And bodies.

While we can't rush healing,

We must take the first step out of paralysis,

Denial,

Or fight mode.

Let's respond rather than react.

I invite you to close your eyes.

Take a breath.

I want you to consider where in your body do you feel that difficult piece of news.

Is it with a heavy heart,

Your knotted stomach,

Or maybe your throat is tight?

Locate that place.

Breathe into that spot.

Instead of resisting it,

Get curious about that spot.

Take another breath.

Repeat these words to that spot.

My child is profound.

My child is divine.

My child does not need to be fixed.

My child is unique and worthy of love.

I don't need to hold onto fear,

Anger,

Sadness,

Or blame in this spot any longer.

My child is my teacher.

Dear heart,

We are going to rewrite the narrative out of your thoughts and body.

I want you to imagine the face of your child,

You holding their face in your hands.

Send love directly to them.

Breathe and see them content.

If you have any thoughts like,

But what about,

Notice those thoughts and then let them float away like a bubble that is carried by the air and then pops.

Imagine only this breath,

This love,

Their face in your hands.

There is nothing to change,

To fix.

There is no flaw and there is no one to blame.

Yes,

Your work as a parent might look different or last longer than some parents,

But it is a gift.

Put one hand on your heart and the other lightly over your stomach.

Take a breath in and then exhale.

I want you to receive these words.

You are not to blame,

You did nothing wrong.

Your child is your divine teacher.

Your life is just beginning.

This path is new.

It is going to be filled with mystery,

Magic,

And it will allow you to shed old ideas.

You don't have to get it right to love your child and yourself.

Just love your body and its power to create and heal.

Now let's repeat it.

Repeat it silently to yourself as I guide you.

I am not to blame.

I did nothing wrong.

My child is my divine teacher.

My life is just beginning.

This path is new.

It is going to be filled with mystery,

Magic,

And it will allow me to shed old ideas.

I do not have to get it right to fully love my child and myself.

I love my body and its power to create and to heal.

My son has been through childhood trauma. He is struggling and in turn I feel my own deep sadness. This was exactly what I needed. I will begin using this every day.

A unique lens for me. Heart opening. Accepting what is. Full of love and the soothing sounds of Kimberly and the most beautiful guitar to relax and open. ❤️
