So for this meditation we're going to reflect on the aspect of Kali of impermanence.

So allowing yourself to get into a comfortable seated posture so you can sit upright naturally and then from here we'll simply drop into the breath.

Now as we drop into the breath we would like our relationship to be one of freedom.

There is no grasping of the breath.

There is no need to control the breath or make the breath breathe in any particular way.

We can feel in our breath that it comes and goes.

Each breath that gives us life that is the ultimate life support that gives us prana can't be grasped.

We have to allow its impermanent nature to be.

So as we receive that all embracing,

All nourishing inhalation with full acceptance and full openness to receiving that.

We allow it to go just as easily as it came and then it's gone.

And another breath will follow in the same way.

So feel each breath as gloriously impermanent.

So As we meditate we commonly find that thoughts may come into the mind.

It may be that we have natural reactions to the thoughts because we don't want them to be there.

But again no matter how interesting or stimulating those thoughts may be,

They are as impermanent as the breath.

We may feel that they stay with us but in reality they all come to pass.

We don't have to make them pass,

We don't have to reject them but we can allow the natural lifespan of the thought to play out.

Our observation may be enough to bring that life cycle to a close,

To allow that thought to drop into its impermanent nature.

Perhaps there may be particular sensations that come into our body as we sit.

Again they may provide a point of interest for us,

They may provide a point of discomforts or challenge or stimulation.

We can observe their nature,

We can give them space and we can allow them to drop into their impermanent nature at their own pace.

Just as the breath,

The thoughts come and go,

So do arising sensations come and go.

If an emotion arises in our experience,

Again we can hold it spaciously.

Within that space there is room for transformation,

There is room for things to move,

There is room for the impermanent nature of emotions to reveal themselves.

Now we may feel our entire body as we sit here.

The physical body,

The energy body,

The emotional body,

The mental body and the body of self that encompasses all aspects of being.

We may reflect that these layers of individuated experience have the quality of impermanence.

Perhaps we may be able to move towards the formless aspect of being.

The universal self that transcends the impermanent aspects of being.

Can we sit in our heart centre?

Can we reside here in the heart,

Even for a few moments?

Now bringing your awareness back into your body,

Into your seat,

Into your contact with the earth,

Into your breath.

You may feel that you wish to take a few deeper,

Slower,

Steady breaths.

And in your own time you may allow your eyes to open.

Perhaps taking another deeper breath here.

This is exactly what I needed this morning. I lost something very important to me yesterday (not a human or animal) and this has helped me go into the day with more acceptance. Thank you 🙏🏻

Really liked it, also there was some kind of screeching at the end of it. I really liked meditating on this concept! Please do like a part 2 of this or something.
