This guided practice was created to inspire, encourage, and release anything that feels heavy and burdensome. When we connect to the breath, it allows us to come back to our center. This practice is designed to be a safe space where you feel held, seen, and rejuvenated. I hope that this time acts as a tool in your healing journey.

Hello.

Welcome to this guided meditation on honoring our emotions.

I'm Kiva Gartner,

And I'll be your guide.

Please find a comfortable position,

Whether that be lying down or sitting upright.

Now close your eyes and focus on the breath.

Take a deep,

Long breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Another breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Inhale and exhale.

When we deny ourselves from experiencing our emotions,

It hinders us from truly experiencing ourselves.

When we judge our emotions,

We are judging the very thing that makes us incredible,

Divine beings.

The ability to feel so deeply is a gift.

And I know that maybe often it has felt like a burden.

Many of us would rather avoid our emotions while others stay in our emotions far too long.

But there is another way.

I like to think of our emotions as a wave.

When it comes to shore,

Fill it,

Sit with it,

And release it.

Feel,

Sit,

Release.

Feel,

Sit,

Release.

Feel,

Sit,

Release.

Back into the universe.

Back into the hands of God.

Imagine that you are taking an evening walk on the beach.

There is no one around,

Just the sand below your feet,

The vastness of the ocean,

The breeze upon your skin.

It's here where you can lay your burdens down.

Can you feel the lightness in your body?

Can you feel the joy beginning to radiate from within?

Rest here for a while and simply be.

Have you remembered who you are?

When life gets heavy,

Know that you can always come back here.

Come back to your center.

Let's take a deep breath in and release.

And when you are ready,

Open your eyes and come back into the room.

You are protected.

You are supported.

You are loved.
