Settle into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.

This could be a seated position,

Or maybe you're lying down or propped up on a wall or cushion.

Try to choose the shape that works best for you today.

This is your time,

And you do not have to meet anyone's expectations.

Once you're settled in,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Beginning to take this journey inward.

Shift your awareness to your feet.

Notice the contact between your feet and the ground.

Imagine small,

Strong roots growing from your feet into the ground.

See the roots begin to grow deeper and wide into the earth.

Just like the roots of a tree that begin to emerge from a small seed and go forth to grow bigger and stronger as they penetrate deeply into the earth,

Forming a strong foundation for a big tree.

So are the roots from your feet penetrating deep into the ground and forming a firm foundation for you to stand on.

And just like the roots of a tree absorb water and nutrients from the soil and transport them back to the trunk,

Leaves and branches for the tree to grow,

Visualize energy from the center of the earth flowing up the roots into your feet.

Notice as this energy flows upwards through your legs,

Into your thighs,

Your upper body,

All the way to your head,

Filling you up with all the good energy you need to survive,

Thrive,

And be healthy.

Your feet are firm on the ground and supported by the earth and your entire body is receiving all the energy it needs from the earth.

Take a moment to just feel the energy flowing through your body.

Now visualize yourself sitting in a meditation posture on a rock.

In front of you is a gently flowing stream and if you look around you notice you're surrounded by a beautiful forest filled with leafy tall trees.

You can hear the birds chirping and see a clear blue sky beyond the treetops.

As you continue to visualize yourself at the water's edge,

You notice there are leaves floating down the stream's surface.

And as you notice thoughts arise,

Start to take each one that comes into your mind,

See yourself placing that thought on a leaf and letting it float by.

Do this with each thought as soon as you note it.

If your thoughts momentarily stop,

Continue to watch the stream.

Sooner or later those thoughts will start back up.

From time to time you may get caught up in your thoughts and it may take you a while to notice you're distracted.

That's normal.

But as soon as you realize you've become sidetracked,

Refocus by resting your awareness on the feeling of the breath or the sound of the breath or even the points of contact with the earth and then return gently to the visualization exercise,

Noting thoughts,

Setting them on leaves and watching them float by.

Release this exercise by bringing your focus to your breath as you slowly inhale and exhale through the nose.

Hold on to any feeling of relaxation or peace that you may have cultivated while doing that visualization.

Let's go deeper by considering a question that is inspired by the planet Uranus.

Uranus acts as a cosmic clutch.

It takes us out of one gear and after some chaos shifts us into a new one.

It also embodies difference as it rotates in the opposite direction of most other planets.

What may look like a disaster could bring wild opportunities.

Chaos can be an important catalyst,

A moment between two forms.

Discomfort propels you to transform,

To become your most authentic,

Eccentric self.

So turn your focus inward and ask yourself,

Is it time for me to transform?

Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think,

Just allowing any answers to come up from deep within.

Is it time for me to transform?

As you practice tuning in to your intuition,

You may notice that you don't always hear words.

You may have gotten images or impressions or even seemingly random thoughts or memories.

Anything that came up could have meaning.

So take the next few breaths to process whatever came up for you and consider if you want to act on anything you learned.

Listen to the following affirmation,

Repeat it to yourself and let it resonate deep within.

My true self shines brightly.

My true self shines brightly.

As we reach the end of today's practice,

Bring the palms together at heart center,

Slightly bowing your head and take a moment to reflect on this experience.

Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?

Did you practice listening and being open?

Allowing this experience and any insights that you've gained to stay with you,

Bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Take your time,

But whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes and allow your body any movement that it needs.
