Settle into a position where you feel both comfortable and alert.

This could be a seated position,

Or maybe you're lying down or propped up on a wall or a cushion.

Choose whatever shape works for you today.

Once you're settled in,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze,

Beginning to take this journey inward.

Bring your awareness to your left arm.

As you breathe in,

Picture the arm filling up with the energy of the breath.

And when you breathe out,

Imagine pushing the breath energy out through your fingertips.

Tune in to the left arm as you do this,

Keeping both the physical body and the visualization in your awareness.

If your mind wanders off into thought,

Note the thought,

But then gently bring it back to the breath.

Switch to the right arm.

Breathe in,

Filling the arm with the breath energy.

And as you exhale,

Release the energy through the right fingertips.

Move your awareness to the torso.

Visualize filling the entire chest and abdomen with breath energy as you inhale.

And then push the breath down out through the bottom of the spine and the tailbone as you exhale.

Move to the left leg.

Breathing in,

Seeing the left leg fill with breath energy.

And on your exhale,

Pushing that energy out through the foot.

Switch to the right leg,

Continuing the same practice.

Breathing in,

Filling up that right leg with breath energy.

And on the exhale,

Seeing that breath energy flow out through the right foot.

Now breathe in,

Filling your entire body with the breath.

Imagine the body being filled with the energy of the breath from your head all the way down to your toes.

And as you exhale,

Let that breath out through the fingertips,

The base of the spine,

And the feet.

Hold on to any feeling of relaxation or peace that you may have cultivated through this exercise.

But release the practice and just focus on the inhale and the exhale.

Let's go deeper by considering the yogic concept of prana.

Yogic teachings say that prana is the manifest energy of the entire universe.

And this creative power is constantly flowing around us and inside of us.

When you are full of prana,

You beam with vital life force.

Energy flows easily throughout your body.

You may even feel your energy extend out of your body and those around you may feel it.

Think about those times when you've been around people with a strong presence or vibe.

Prana can help you connect with yourself,

With others,

And with the universe itself.

Turn your focus inward and ask yourself,

What connections do I need to strengthen?

Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think.

Just allowing any answers to come up from deep within.

What connections do I need to strengthen?

As you practice tuning into your intuition,

You may notice that you don't always hear words.

You may have gotten images or impressions or even seemingly random thoughts or memories.

Or maybe nothing in particular came up.

But just take the next few breaths to process anything that did come up.

And consider if you want to act on anything that you learned.

Listen to the following affirmation,

Repeat it to yourself and let it resonate deep within.

I am connected with all things in loving and positive ways.

I am connected with all things in loving and positive ways.

As we reach the end of today's practice,

Bring your palms together at heart center,

Slightly bowing your head.

Take a moment to reflect on this experience.

Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?

Did you practice listening and being open?

Allow the experience and any insight you've gained to stay with you as you bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Take your time,

But whenever you're ready,

Open your eyes and allow your body any gentle movement that it needs.
