This is a short meditation to help bring you back to yourself in moments of busyness when you may have lost sight of your true feelings, or you may be feeling too much at once. It will help you refocus and bring your awareness back to the body, to the present moment where you can find your center and restore a sense of calm.

Hi there.

This is a little practice that I like to do that helps me drop into my heart and really listen to what I am feeling.

I'll first start by just taking a deep breath in through your nose and a slow breath out through your mouth.

Now take your right hand and place it over your heart.

If it feels okay for you go ahead and close your eyes.

If not then just find a soft gaze and with that right hand over your heart sit still long enough for you to feel your heart beating beneath your hand.

When you start to feel that heartbeat then take your left hand and place it over your right.

So now both of your hands are layered on top of your heart.

Take another deep breath in through your nose and let it go.

Allow the right hand that's placed right over your heart to represent yang energy or the energy of doing and let the left hand represent yin energy or the energy of being.

So for the next minute or so just allow yourself the space to prioritize being overdoing.

Love over fear.

Trust over worry.

Flow over force.

Allow yourself to sit with whatever feelings are coming up for you.

Notice where they are in your body and breathe into that space.

If you'd like you can remove your hands and let them come to a restful position on your lap or wherever they're comfortable.

But keep breathing,

Keep tuning in.

I'll start by just beginning to slowly blink your eyes open if they were closed.

Deepen your breath just a little bit.

And reach your arms up over your head and as you exhale bring them down by your sides.

If you need to wiggle your shoulders or maybe rotate or tilt your neck from side to side a little bit.

Whatever you need to just kind of bring yourself back into your space noticing what's around you coming back into the present moment.

Take one more deep breath here together in through your nose and a breath out through your mouth.

May you continue on through your day with a little bit more presence and awareness of how you are feeling in each moment.

Have a great day.

Thank you Kelly from the beaches of lake Huron, it was much appreciated and well needed. 6 of our closest friends listened to your mediation on the beach, we ended with so much love and appreciation
