Hello everyone!

Welcome to this episode of the Mindful in Minutes podcast.

I am so happy that you're here and I just want to take a moment to thank you for being here and for letting me be a part of your practice.

It's just really special to me that we get to start our days together with this meditation.

So we're going to be doing an energizing morning practice.

So this is for those days where you need just a little extra boost in the morning.

So go ahead,

Get comfortable,

Maybe close down your eyes if that feels good to you.

And then once you've found your comfortable position,

Begin by connecting with your breath.

Just allow that air to flow in and out of your body naturally.

And as you're breathing,

Letting that energy begin to move through your body on the breath.

Each inhale begins to wake up the body and the mind.

And as you continue to breathe,

Make that breath a little bit bigger,

A little bit fuller.

Just extending each inhale and each exhale by a tiny amount,

Allowing the breath to carry energy to each of your cells and releasing any fatigue or sleepiness or sluggishness from the body and the mind on the exhale.

Continuing to let the breath flow.

And as you do,

Visualize yourself sitting and meditating in your favorite place outdoors.

It could be a beach,

It could be a mountaintop,

It could be in your backyard.

Don't overthink it.

Just imagine that you're sitting and meditating in your favorite place outside right now.

And wherever you're sitting,

You're sitting there right at dawn.

The sun hasn't quite risen yet,

But there's a little bit of light.

So you take a look around and you notice what you can see.

What do you hear?

What do you smell?

What is the temperature of this place?

Take in your surroundings from your favorite place and get a clear picture of the world that is happening all around you right now.

Now bringing your awareness back to your body and your breath.

The sun is just beginning to rise and there's a warm yellow orange glow that's on the horizon.

As you breathe and close down your eyes here,

You feel a sliver of the sun's light begin to shine on your feet,

Ankles,

And shins.

As it begins to rise,

This light is warming you.

It's infusing you with energy into your being.

As you continue to breathe,

The sun rises still.

The amber glow of the sunlight rises up over your knees,

Thighs,

Hips,

And pelvis.

Each moment that you are bathing in the ever-increasing sunlight,

You're filled with more energy and the light continues to rise.

Now it's shining over you and your abdomen,

Chest,

And shoulders,

Both arms and all the way down to your fingertips.

These areas are illuminated in the golden light of the sunrise and you're feeling even more energized in this moment.

Finally,

The light continues to rise up over the throat,

Face,

And head.

You are now completely illuminated in sunlight and the sun continues to rise higher still.

As you breathe and bathe in the sunlight,

You feel yourself becoming even more energized,

Motivated,

And prepared for the day ahead.

You give yourself the gift of some quiet time to just breathe and be,

Allowing this energy to move through you as you absorb the golden glow of the sunrises light that's all around you.

Now you take a few final moments here,

Soaking up any last little bit of that sunrise energy and light that you need for the day.

Then together we'll take three deep cleansing breaths,

Inhaling through the nose and then open mouth exhale,

Just releasing the breath.

Go ahead and do that two more times.

That final deep cleansing breath right here,

Letting that exhale release any last little bit of sleepiness or fatigue that may be lingering from the night before.

And then tell yourself three times,

I am energized,

I am ready,

Today is my day.

And then completing your practice just by setting a positive intention for the rest of your day.

When you're ready,

Gently reawakening and starting your day.

Thank you so much for joining me here with this practice.
