This EFT/tapping practice confronts the taboo subject of aging and end of life. Personally, I think the more comfortable you become with the reality of death and understanding that we are energy and we don't die; we just transform, the easier it can be to accept. This is what gives me comfort, especially after losing people very close to me. This practice is great for beginners since it is guided with cues are for tapping. You may listen to my voice and repeat it out loud or in your head. Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to this EFT for aging and end of life.

My name is Casey and I will be leading you for this practice today.

I know there are lots of unknowns and unfamiliar and lots of questions about end of life and what comes after.

I don't know what comes after but I have ideas.

So wherever you are feeling and whatever you are feeling towards this topic and subject know that it is normal and we all have anxiety around it.

So whether you are practicing thinking about your own life and aging or someone you love whose life is coming towards an end know that we are all going to die one day.

And the sooner we become more comfortable with this idea the less scary it feels.

So before we start take a moment to acknowledge where you are on a scale of one to ten.

Ten being very very uncomfortable and lots of feelings and one being virtually no feelings,

No reaction.

And wherever you fall today that is fine it will change.

We're going to start with our setup statement which I will say three times and all of the following statements I will say twice.

So you can either repeat them out loud or quietly in your own language.

And you can either repeat them out loud or quietly in your head.

We will tap on eight points and the first point we're tapping on isn't included in that eight.

This is just for the setup statement and that is the karate chop point on the outside edge on the pinky side of your hand.

And it does not matter which hand you tap with.

Just whatever is most comfortable for you.

Begin tapping at the karate chop point.

Even though I feel anxiety over death or aging I honor how I feel.

Even though I feel anxiety over death or aging I honor how I feel.

Even though I feel anxiety over death or aging I honor how I feel.

Tapping at the third eye.

The idea of death and aging gives me anxiety.

The idea of death and aging gives me anxiety.

Tapping at the side eye.

Thinking about my end of life.

Thinking about my end of life.

Tapping on the under eye or thinking of a loved one's end of life gives me a strong emotional reaction.

Or a loved one's end of life it gives me a strong emotional reaction.

Under the nose.

I know it's a part of life.

I know it's a part of life.

Chin point.

I just have a hard time accepting it.

I just have a hard time accepting it.

Tapping at your collarbone.

And the thoughts of it make me feel helpless.

And the thoughts of it make me feel helpless.

Tapping under the arm.

I know I can't control aging or the death of others.

I know I can't control aging or the death of others.

Tapping at the crown of your head.

This is a fact of life I need to accept.

This is a fact of life I need to accept.

Allow your hands to rest for a moment.

And take a couple cycles of breath.

Noticing whatever feelings are coming up and breathing through them.

And when you're ready,

Tapping at the third eye for round two.

I want to accept this reality.

I want to accept this reality.

Side eye.

I know this life is impermanent.

I know this life is impermanent.

Under eye.

Life goes by fast.

Life goes by fast.

Under the nose.

And nothing lives forever.

And nothing lives forever.

Chin point.

I know our time is limited.

I know our time is limited.

Tapping at the collarbone.

I can enjoy and embrace the right now.

I can enjoy and embrace the right now.

Tapping under the armpit.

Thinking about death and aging all of the time has no benefit.

Thinking about aging and death all of the time has no benefit.

Tapping at the crown.

I can focus on the here and now.

And enjoy my life.

I can focus on the here and now.

And enjoy my life.

Let the hands rest for a moment.

Take a few cycles of breath.

Again just evaluating how you feel.

What is coming up for you.

And breathing into it.

And releasing that sensation on your exhales.

Let all of the emotions just move through you.

They don't need to feel stuck anywhere.

You can let them go.

Getting ready for round three.

Tapping at the third eye.

I can accept the fact we all will age.

I can accept the fact we all will age.

Side eye.

And one day we will all be gone.

And one day we will all be gone.

Under eye.

So let me love my friends and family now.

So let me love my friends and family now.

Under the nose.

Instead of being fearful or anxious about aging or death.

Instead of being fearful or anxious about aging or death.

Chin point.

I can accept that nearly everyone has anxiety about this topic.

I can accept that nearly everyone has anxiety about this topic.

Collarbone.

I'm not alone with my fear and anxiety.

I'm not alone with my fear and anxiety.

Underarm.

But I don't need to let those thoughts take over.

But I don't need to let those thoughts take over.

Crown.

I can gently remind myself it's a common fear and I am not alone.

I can gently remind myself it's a common fear and I am not alone.

Let your hands rest for a moment.

Take a few cycles of breath.

Noticing the progress you're making,

How you're feeling,

Maybe a little less anxiety.

And if not,

That is okay.

You will need to come back to the practice again.

Be patient and compassionate with yourself.

One more breath.

Nice smooth inhale through your nose.

Gentle exhale through the nose.

Tapping at the third eye.

Aging and death are normal and natural.

Aging and death are normal and natural.

Side eye.

Not everyone gets the privilege of growing old.

Not everyone gets the privilege of growing old.

Under eye.

It would be an honor to grow old and wrinkly.

It would be an honor to grow old and wrinkly.

Under your nose.

Of course with minimal suffering and pain.

Of course with minimal suffering and pain.

Chin.

I don't know when my time or others time will be.

I don't know when my time or others time will be.

Collarbone.

But I can focus on the here and now.

But I can focus on the here and now.

Underarm.

Enjoying this present moment.

Enjoying this present moment.

Tapping at the crown.

Memento mori.

Memento mori.

Gently allow your hands to rest in your lap.

The translation for Memento Mori means remember you must die in Latin.

I recently learned this phrase and it has kind of stuck with me the last month or so.

Again taking a moment to evaluate how you're feeling.

Thinking about our scale of one to ten.

Take stock of where you are now.

Where you started.

And hopefully there is a change even if it's a slight change that is still in the right direction.

Remember healing is not linear.

Healing is something that will keep happening over time.

There are layers to our healing.

We go deeper within the wound and we get to the source.

We get to the root eventually.

And we have our practices to help us.

Like this.

A convenient tool.

When you are ready inhale your arms overhead.

Let your palms touch.

Exhale bringing down your palms to your heart center along with all of that divine universal energy.

And that divine universal energy vibrates as the frequency of love through which you and I and all sentient beings are connected on this planet.

The light in me salutes and honors the light in you.

Namaste.

And thank you so much for allowing me to be of service.

Have a great rest of your day.
