G'day gang,
Welcome back to the tribe.
We're focusing today and this week on opening up our hearts and we're going to use different modalities and different meditations and different mantras to open up our heart because it's really easy to be jaded by the world that we're in through the news and the media and the papers as to what's going on out there.
It's easy to shut off our heart and not like people and not trust people and that's the same in our relationships with our friends,
Our partners,
Our children.
We can see the bad side of humanity and humans.
This week in our tribe,
In our gang where we look to see beyond the shit by opening up our minds and opening up our perspective,
We choose to come back to the heart and today we're going to do that through the practice of gratitude.
Gratitude,
I know it's something that it's a word that gets thrown around but when done well,
When you tune deep into your heart and you remember the beautiful things,
Your heart is open and naturally you feel more love towards the people around you.
You have more compassion for humanity.
You do want to be naturally more kind to people because you want to spread that good vibe.
Here in our tribe we're about spreading good vibes but it always begins with us first.
So we're focusing on gratitude today.
So closing down your eyes and getting yourselves into a nice comfortable meditation position.
You may like to put your hands over your heart,
Otherwise just have them relaxed in whatever position that feels good.
And just start taking in some nice deep conscious breaths in and out.
Slowing down your breath.
And as you do this just begin to soften your face,
Your jaw and the little muscles around your eyes soften your face.
And just feel for a moment how nice it is to just breathe deeply and connect in.
And just start paying attention to the sounds that you can hear.
The smells that you can smell.
And the temperature of the space that you're in.
All to help you be in the present moment.
As you continue breathing at your pace,
Your rhythm,
Just place your focus and attention into the center of your chest.
The space where your beautiful heart resides.
And I want you to remember some of the most beautiful memories,
Wonderful memories that you've had in your life.
Times where you've laughed uncontrollably.
Moments that you didn't want to end.
And just let yourself go back to those times and let your heart feel them.
And now I want you to think about or reflect upon the people in your life who have really been there for you.
People who have supported you,
Had your back,
Given you tough love.
And been there for you through thick and thin.
Let those people and those memories of those people just come to you now.
And let your heart feel them.
And just take a moment now to reflect.
Upon how proud you are of yourself.
For all the tough times that you've gotten through.
The hard times that you've overcome that you didn't think you could.
The times where you doubted your abilities.
That you showed yourself that you're made of something.
Reflect upon those times of feeling proud of yourself and let your heart feel it.
And just notice how your energetic heart feels.
Your heart chakra.
Notice how it feels as you've remembered some of the most beautiful memories in your life.
The people who have showed up for you time and time again.
And remembering tough times that you've overcome.
Just notice the state of your beautiful heart.
And if you feel emotional or mushy.
Maybe you feel really open.
This is a beautiful sign that your heart is open.
And all it takes is a moment of gratitude.
Start taking some deeper breaths in and out.
Stretch out your fingers,
Your hands,
Your feet,
Your toes.
And any other parts of your body just to give your body some life and energy.
And as you do this I invite you to do something.
Those people that you remembered who were there for you.
Maybe you could call them,
Message them or catch up with them to really let them know how they've impacted your life.
Those beautiful memories that you remembered.
Share them with the person that was there at the time and let them know how special that moment was for you.
And I invite you to take these good vibes into your day.
To remain open in your heart.
And lead your day with this beautiful heart.
