We begin by settling into this moment with three deep breaths together.
Breathing in and out.
A deep breath in and out.
One last breath in and out.
Letting go of whatever was going on before this moment.
And we set the intention to practice embodying the qualities we want to cultivate inside ourselves.
To rehearse our own empowered divine nature.
The hero who is already present inside ourselves.
And we set the intention with this meditation to treat this as part of a process of reparenting ourselves.
Committing to taking responsibility for our thoughts,
Words,
And deeds.
Begin by relaxing your body.
Ease any tension you might have brought with you into this moment.
Letting it go.
Taking note of any place in your body where you're holding tension or holding your muscles.
Coming into ease.
And when you're relaxed,
Imagine that you find yourself in a sanctuary.
You're visualizing a place of utter peace,
Protection,
Beauty.
Take a moment to really notice the details of this sanctuary.
What sounds do you hear?
What colors do you notice?
How does your body feel here?
Imagine that you take a seat on the ground,
Really soaking in this feeling of peace and protection,
A feeling of hope.
And seated directly across from you,
Picture your mentor,
So happy to be with you.
They're seated eye to eye with you.
And you begin to notice the qualities in them that you admire so much.
It almost seems to radiate out from them.
You can make an offering to your mentor,
Increasing the sense of closeness and connection between you.
Your offering can be simple like a flower or a stone.
Or it can be more involved.
A song,
A dance.
You can even make a gift of your very self.
No matter what you offer,
Imagine making this offering with joy and without reservation.
Knowing that your mentor is here to help you,
Share now one behavior or mindset that you're working on in your own development.
What's something you can let go of?
Something you really want to work through?
Not out of guilt,
But out of the knowledge that you are always a beautiful work in progress.
Your role model looks lovingly at you in response,
Holding space for what you've shared,
Looking you in the eye gently.
But they also see you as your fully actualized self,
Having resolved this issue and become all the wiser and more compassionate for having done so.
And so now it's time to rejoice.
You take healthy pride in all the small and big steps you're taking in your development,
Including this very moment,
This practice you're in right now.
And having rejoiced,
You can now request guidance from your mentor.
And of course,
This mentor is overjoyed to be asked and they send healing energy into you.
This warm,
Loving energy flows from their heart center to the crown of your head and fills up your body.
Feel this energy vibrating gently inside you.
You feel full of potential,
Full of understanding,
And full of a desire to share this sensation with all living beings.
And so you and your role model both send this healing energy out to the entire universe.
It fills every last atom with light.
And for one moment,
The entire world feels connected to one another.
Slowly this energy comes back to you.
And now requesting presence from your mentor,
You ask them to stay with you as you go about your day.
So happy to be asked,
They gently collapse into a single drop of loving energy,
Which travels from the crown of your head,
Past your throat,
And then nestles into your heart center.
Feel this energy from your mentor residing in your heart.
Know that you can return to this sensation whenever you need.
While still seated in your sanctuary,
Dedicate this effort you've made to your ongoing personal development,
And also dedicate this so that all beings come to know their own healing.
And to slowly close this time,
Return now back to the feeling of your body in this present place,
Present moment.
Slowly place your hand on your heart and feel your heartbeat.
You may be feeling one more time this loving energy that's always present inside you.
Bring your attention now to the feeling of your feet on the ground.
And if you like,
You can close this practice with me to the sound of Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
Aum.
