This practice guides women in Peri-Menopause to Relax. Cortisol is produced when the body is stressed and can contribute significantly to waking with hot flashes, foggy brain, and anxious thoughts among many other Menopause symptoms. Reducing stress is a powerful tool in your kit for symptom relief. Listening to this late afternoon or evening can help lower your cortisol levels and support a better night's sleep. In part, we focus on the Pelvic bowl including the Womb and Ovaries. Pre- menopause the Ovaries are the primary source of Estrogen for the female. You are in perfect balance and your body knows exactly what to do. Using a SanKulpa and leaning into love and trust. This can be a very challenging time and I hope this supports you in your transition.

Transcript

Welcome this guided relaxation is to aid you in managing any and all menopausal symptoms,

Making any adjustments to get just 10% more comfortable,

Allowing your eyes to gently close,

Taking a deep inhale through your nose,

Holding it at the top of your breath,

Open your mouth and let the air fall out of your mouth slowly,

One more deep inhale through the nose,

Holding it,

Exhale feel your whole body relax,

Feel that space between your eyebrows widen as the muscles around your eyes soften,

Release your jaw,

Maybe your lips part a little bit,

Feel the sides of your head where your ears are,

Relax,

Feel the back of your skull and the top of your head,

Relax,

Lower your awareness to your shoulders,

Release any tension there,

Your arms relax,

Your hands soften,

I'm going to offer you a sankalpa,

In your mind repeat this three times,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

Lower your awareness to your pelvic bowl,

Your left hip,

Your right hip,

Your sacrum and tailbone and everything in between,

This is the place of your root chakra,

It is responsible for feeling secure and grounded,

Breathe into this sacred part of your body's temple,

This place that births human life but also your intentions,

Your ideas,

Your creations,

As you inhale through your nose allow the breath to travel down to your pelvic bowl and as you exhale allow it to sweep out anything that no longer serves you,

Breathe in peace,

Balance,

Breathe out letting go,

Focus your awareness now on your womb in the center of your pelvic bowl,

Shaped like an upside-down pear or an upside-down triangle and either side of your womb or your uterus are your ovaries,

One small oval shaped either side of your womb,

You don't need to have an exact visual,

Just sense them,

Feel them inside your pelvic bowl,

Where you place your attention is where you place your energy,

Premenopause your ovaries produce most of the estrogen,

You're not trying to change anything or do anything,

You're just paying attention to this space in your body,

Loving attention and as you continue to hold your ovaries and your womb in your loving awareness,

Be aware of breathing into that place and breathing out,

Take a breath and give it away,

Perfect balance,

Your body knows how to be in perfect balance and each breath you take in is nourishment for this space,

Prana,

Life force and each breath you release is anything that no longer serves you from this space,

Any tension,

Any trauma,

Let it go,

Continue to focus on this space,

Breathing in balance,

Letting go as you breathe out,

Your body knows exactly what it needs,

In your mind once again repeat your sankopa,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

I am navigating this transition with ease and grace,

Look for the gifts that are available in any transition,

Look for the positive and you will find it,

Your body is balanced and relaxed.

Exactly what I needed for rest this evening. I'm struggling with night sweating this week and have been feeling stressed about poor sleep. Thank you for this beautiful practice. I loved how you focused attention inside the pelvic bowl.
