There is so much value in creating conscious time to have a self check-in with ourselves. In doing so, we are remembering that we are important too, that we matter. This meditation will help serve as a loving reminder to take care of yourself through this simple routine. Music by Chris Collins

It's so easy to get lost in self-created to-do lists and habits.

It's so easy to wake up in a rush and turn on that space within us that is unconscious.

It's so easy to forget to check in within ourselves,

To understand why we feel as we do at times,

Especially when we feel overwhelmed,

Emotionally plugged,

Frustrated or tired.

We seem to consent that there's no time to pause or that things really can't feel better or that I'll get to myself another day,

Forgetting that we actually have the full ability in any given moment to feel different and make the necessary changes.

We just forget this in our routine movement.

We also forget that tomorrow is not promised.

I cannot stress the value of creating a routine,

Be it weekly,

Monthly or on the spot or in times and moments of discord,

To consciously check in with yourself.

What I like to do is to have a powwow with myself and I talk to myself out loud,

Making sure compassion is at the core and roots because I lived so many years talking down to myself as though I was my enemy.

I find great solace and empowerment in my self-talk.

Through these powwows,

I have with myself,

My intention is to reset my thoughts,

Get clear on what I'm feeling,

Remembering to slow down or just saying some loving words of encouragement,

Such as,

Karen,

You're doing a great job.

Or Karen,

Just keep on trusting and moving forward.

Or Karen,

I'm simply proud of you.

In some moments,

Most moments,

Just thank you God.

Sometimes I just create the space to even have these self-created powwows where I allow whatever message or words to come through divinely,

Organically.

I've learned to trust them and move with them and keep them close to me.

I remind myself in this process that I don't need to wait for someone or something outside of me to check in on me to feel good.

Rather,

I'm actually capable of doing it for myself first.

I say this to you to serve as a reminder that we're led to believe we are truly validated when someone else pays attention to us first and checks in on us first.

But true validation I have learned comes from within you first.

So I deeply,

Wholeheartedly encourage you to begin creating your own self-check in powwow.

And as you begin this journey,

Observe through the space between your I am and you,

How you begin to feel.

What changes are being birthed in you doing this?

What is this small new action step creating within you?

Pay attention to your awareness and what you're gaining.

You know,

We always check in with everything around us outside of us,

Such as making sure our bills are paid,

Others around us are okay,

That our to-do list is checked off timely.

And when I say timely,

I'm saying it's based on what we think.

And that doesn't mean it is necessarily as important as we're led to believe or convince ourselves.

But we seldom make the conscious habit to check in within ourselves,

The most important person to make sure we're doing okay.

If you don't make the time to check in and take care of yourself,

How do you expect to live the most wonderful life you deserve?

How do you expect to be healthy,

Harmonious,

Truly happy from your heart and really feeling alive and vibrant?

How can you expect to be there in your fullness for your loved ones?

How can you enjoy and value love and appreciate all the wonderfulness around you and within you?

So make your wellness a priority.

Make your relationship with yourself a good one and a priority.

Check in consciously and talk in what you need and talk out what you don't want to harbor.

You got this.

Don't convince yourself that because this appears to be a simple act,

It's not going to be effective.

You will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.

For those of you who do this already,

I'm proud of you.

Keep on doing this.

It's beautiful.

Always,

Always sending love to you and continued blessings and thank you for taking the time to listen to my check in with yourself.

Powwow reminder.

Love,

Karen.
