What Exactly Is Karma & How It Works

Guaranteed, you have not heard a talk on karma like this before! In this, Kadeem's last track on Insight Timer, he lays out all the complexities yet simplicities of what karma is and how it works for our benefit or against our benefit. He also shares a series of exercises that can be done to increase your good karma and manifest what you desire using karma.

Hello hello and thank you so much for joining me here today. Today's topic we were talking about karma. Ooh karma oh my gosh karma. I know it can be a pretty daunting topic sometimes because usually when we think about karma we think about it in a negative sense. Like that time in which maybe somebody did us wrong and we say something like well that's okay I'll just let karma get the person. Yeah great okay karma will definitely get them for sure. However karma is neutral. Karma isn't necessarily bad and it isn't necessarily good. But let me break it down and actually just say like there can also be elements of good karma. So if you do something good for someone then guess what that's gonna come back to you too. So karma isn't always bad. There's elements of good karma as well. But again as I said before realizing that karma is not really good or bad that's the label that we put on it being good or bad. Karma is neutral. Karma is a tool. In the same way money money isn't necessarily good or bad but we have all these scriptures and things that say oh you know money is the root of all evil and it's easier for a poor man to get into heaven than a rich man. You know you have all those scriptures. However realizing that money is a tool. Money in the hands of good people do good things. But money in the hands of bad people do bad things. So we have to realize that we have these tools and depending on how we use these tools can determine hmm this can be looked at as good or bad. In the same way a knife. You can use a knife to cook right to chop up food or vegetables you know to really cut things up to make them smaller in regards to you eating it right putting it into your body well. But then someone can use a knife to knife something great and to stab someone in the back literally and to hurt them and to harm them. They can be used as a weapon. In the same way a pen. A pen can be used to sign an amazing wonderful contract to get your new amazing brand new home that you love. But a pen can also sign an agreement for people to go to war. So we have to realize that we have these tools we have these tools that can be used for different things. And the same way karma is neutral. It's something that is a tool that can help catapult our life into an element of success and amazingness or cause demise. The question is how are you using karma? This is also true in science. Science states in regards to Newton's third law of motion that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So whatever action you put out there in the universe whatever you do whatever action it is again whether we see it as good or bad comes back in some sort of way it creates some sort of reaction. Think about it in this way you have a line or row of dominoes. What happens when you push that one domino in the back of the line? What happens? All the other dominoes right follows through and they fall in the same way. This is also true for karma. What you put out causes a reaction and somehow the reaction can also come back as well. So thinking about it that way you can also like really use karma to your benefit opposed to your detriment. So any moment in time in which you feel like I'm lacking something I feel like you know my life is lacking let's say for example it's lacking a sense of love then guess what you can use karma to help you attract love. There are different things you can do to attract love. Maybe one thing you do in regards to enhancing your karma to attract love maybe one thing you do is that if you let's say you're a therapist a psychotherapist you offer free services to couples for like relationship help. That's one way where you have this tool of like being a therapist to help other people you can use this tool to essentially increase your good karma so that you can have good karma when it comes to relationships. But you're saying oh you know I'm not really a therapist you know so what are some other ways I can enhance my good karma when it comes to love. Many things. If you have someone that's in a relationship now that you know you can say hey like what can I do for you and your partner to help you all. Maybe I can take you out to dinner you know to like treat you all to something. Or maybe I can if you're having some issues in your in your love life maybe I can be a lending ear. I'm not therapist right so I might not necessarily be able to give you sound advice but I can only at least be a listening ear for you. All these things help again good karma supporting other people supporting people who are in relationships helps to boost your karma. So again thinking about ways you can boost your amazing wonderful goodness your karma really in regards to certain aspects of your life that might be lacking is to really offer offer good things to other people so that it can sort of come back to you. Okay so you probably heard my you're gonna hear doors closing lots of doors closing. The natural ambiance of New York City sounds. So here's something else I realized and this is something that I don't usually say in public because this is an advanced technique when it comes to karma that everyone really should not be using consistently because in the long run this can cause some damage but I'm gonna talk about it now because again I'm saying this because I feel like this can help some people but also realize as I'm saying this you do not want to use this technique when it comes to karma consistently at all and I'll tell you why. When it comes to doing good deeds to help enhance and boost your good karma you can do something called decreeing your good works your good deeds to help yourself or even to help someone else. What do I mean? So let's say you decide to go to a soup kitchen or a pantry to help people in regards to them being hungry so you're giving food. You're doing a good deed. That good karma is gonna come back to you. You can decree this good karma to say you know I decree that the good karma I'm generating go towards helping something in life. Maybe that something is like you can go towards increasing my love life. It can go towards increasing my finances. It can go towards you know increasing my health. You can decree it literally like before you go in to do the good deed you can decree it and just say that and then after the deed is over say it again just so that we know that that particular act that good deed is going to a specific thing that you wanted to go to. Now again this is not a technique that I suggest you do consistently. If there's something in your life that might be in a state of emergency maybe you do it here and there but this is something that I suggest people really only do a handful of times because most people really are not volunteering on a consistent basis. If you're volunteering like five six days a week at a soup kitchen helping other people you know in regards to you helping selflessly without necessarily getting anything in return if you're out there selflessly helping other people consistently then maybe you do this technique more often. I think most people throughout their lifetime probably should only be using this like a handful of times and again only if there's a state of emergency. So again you can use this for yourself you can always use the father so someone in your life is having really rough time. Let's say for example someone is having some health issues and again using the example of you going to the soup kitchen you can decree that your good deeds for what you're doing right now that it go to the good karma go to helping someone else in your life that's going through rough time so that you know decree it today goes to for example in this example it goes to increasing their good health. There's nothing major that you have to do really with this it's all about the intention realizing that your intention is what matters. So the technique really goes I would say for a basic level is after you do something like good good deed and you wanted to go somewhere you can just simply say I decree the good karma from this deed go to blank and that blank could be go to increasing my finances go towards increasing my health go towards helping this person whether it's my son or my daughter or my aunt my grandmother my friend go to this friend for increasing their good health or something right so that's how you do it just one sentence that's it boom done we used to let it go and let the good karma let it let it do its job let it do its works so that's one thing you can do it to decree it. Another thing you can do I believe this is the cheat code I found for myself in regards to increasing my good karma is whenever I do a good deed I don't necessarily always decree it but what I say is may I be blessed many many many times over for doing this good deed so realizing you know the good karma is gonna come back anyway but you put it out in the universe that you only blessed many many times over it actually maximizes the effect again it's almost like a little cheat code it's almost like you know there are these things people sometimes use for plants to help them grow bigger and faster and like this green food people can sometimes use you know the plant will still grow it might still grow it without the green food but it might grow bigger faster with the green food that you put in it so in the same way that's like a little cheat code that can help grow your good karma to do certain things you know just saying that simply made the good karma for this good deed may I be blessed many many times over for doing it boom done that's it so you know offering some of these techniques to help you in regards to your karma and increasing your account karma there are a few other things that I want to mention in regards to karma is that one thing I want to mention is sometimes when it comes to karma like our good karma because some of us are you know amazing people there's sometimes when someone's going through a rough time we unintentionally actually drain our good karma from our system to help someone else unintentionally without realizing it but we do it because you realize that someone's in pain someone's hurting so we into unintentionally do that so there's those moments of us you know being you know unintentionally giving it away there are those moments where even the karma can be stolen from us from other people again it could be unintentionally or not like stealing your good karma for doing a particular deed and maybe they steal it yeah unintentionally this isn't something people tend to do intentionally your people don't know these techniques are probably like 1% of the world probably know these techniques to do this so people won't ask you know necessarily intentionally still your comment but sometimes it happens or sometimes the karma is drained from you so I know sometimes for people who are like therapists or doctors or healers sometimes you just do so much work and you're doing this stuff for other people and you know sometimes it can just be drained from you because you're just in a service of helping others so you can just something if you drain for you I know that for me this has happened for sure I believe all three has happened for me before so I came up with the technique to help actually help me like call back some of the good karma that was either drained from me or stolen or that was unintentionally given away I noticed that when I did this my body felt so much better like my body my energy and even places where I had some pain in my body even went away because like I'm calling good karma back to me so you know I don't necessarily know the mechanics of this spiritually energetically whether the good karma actually comes back to you from another person because maybe the person might have passed on or whether the universe is like okay they're calling back good karma to them the good karma maybe has already been used up by the other person maybe the other person transition but because they're calling good karma back to them I will bless them with good karma for me in some ways it's almost like a grant you know like a grant like a government grant or a business grant maybe you have a particular debt for example maybe the debts not yours maybe you have a debt and you apply for a grant from a business with the government and you get the grant where you put it out there then you get the grant it comes back to you so in the same way I feel like sometimes universe it's like okay well you know the debts out there you know your debt in regards to karma stuff but hey guess what because you put in a request I'm gonna give you like this grant you don't have to pay back I'm gonna give this grant of good karma coming back to you so here's the mantra that I use for that I'm giving y'all a lot of a lot of good juicy techniques on this podcast so if y'all are taking notes because I also believe that this may be the last podcast episode I think this might be my last talk I think for some time unless I get another download to do something else but there's been a few episodes in regards my podcast that I've put off for some time but I'm catching up on and this is the last podcast episode on the list that I have on my paper so this might be the last one maybe I'm making room from where things to come down but this might be the last one especially when it comes to insight timer because I think this is where this podcast is going there's talk this might even be my last anything on insight timer so hopefully you're getting a lot of good information info from from this particular talk so the mantra that I tend to use in regards to calling back the good karma is that all my good karma that was stolen from me drained out from me or unintentionally used for others be restored to me now that all of my good karma that was stolen from me drained out from me or unintentionally used for others be restored to me now let all of my good karma that was stolen from me drained out from me or unintentionally used for others be restored to me now and even as I say this I actually feel like my energy adjusting like I feel my energy increasing enhancing because again I'm putting something out into the universe were to come back to me so I said that module three times and as I say that three times again I start to like feel things happening in my body which lets me know okay the good karma is going back to me so that's another technique you can use like it's fantastic it's great I know that for me again because I realize I give out good karma intentionally unintentionally help other people decree things I noticed that when I was doing that especially when I was kind of doing it I was kind of like testing stuff out you know I'm glad I'm testing stuff out so you don't have to go to the same issues or mistakes but I was testing stuff out I was kind of just you know decree good karma to go to people like randomly in the street that was like homeless you know or like to like celebrities are going through rough time and I was like I'm gonna decrease stuff okay yeah my god they're going through rough time don't do that ever like don't do that ever again kadeem ever ever you should really I realize you should really only decree something after you're doing a good deed so if you're kind of sitting in bed you you know so I feel like something's going through rough time I want to create some common enough no no no don't do that don't do that because that takes some of the if we look at karma in regards to a bank account essentially some of that good karma is going towards your bills or your debt your energetic spiritual debt the substance if you call on the good karma to be taken out or be decreed towards something and you necessarily do a good deed in that moment what happens is some of the good karma some of that like good karma though that debt was that was gonna be paid from the good karma for that particular thing actually again think about it in the sense of bills paying a bill actually prevents that one bill from getting paid so things start to happen so I noticed when I was in there for myself I was like ooh what I feel some weird pain here in my body oh okay I realized that my money flow has stopped and I'm kind of like what's happening I don't see my money coming in anymore you know so again realizing that this is an advanced technique that again I think most people should really only did a handful of times and only do that technique in regards to decreeing karma when it comes to you doing like a right right after doing a good deed that's when you say the decree and then after that that's it don't just do it randomly because that will start to mess stuff up in your life and again then you have the mantra right if anything was drained from you or stolen or unintentionally used the mantra let all of my good karma that was stolen from me drained out from me or unintentionally used for others be restored to me now I realize though in regards to this talk about karma is that the karma that you generate again talking about let's talk about the good karma the good side the karma that you generate the good karma is actually again used to pay off some of these debts that you have realizing though that karma we think karma is with the person karma actually goes with the soul what do I mean so you're here in this in carnation in this particular body right now in this moment however your karma where there's good karma bad karma again realize the karma is neutral but I'm using good or bad for our purposes so that we can to understand it realizing that that karma actually came from past lifetime lifetime before that lifetime before that lifetime before that so karma goes with the soul not with the person not with the personality so you living right now in this moment this is even listening to this podcast right now realizing that even that you have the ability to access this podcast meaning that you have electricity you have good internet you decide to connect to something in regards to connecting to meditation through insight timer or spirituality for you to even find this podcast at this time means that you have a certain amount of good karma like you're comically entitled to listen to this realizing that this could be this is the karma that you have could be from this lifetime but it could also be from previous lifetimes as well so realizing your current environment usually is based off of the karma from this lifetime in past lifetimes realizing that you don't use up all the good karma where they're good or bad in one lifetime that follows us lifetime after lifetime so I realize it's important for us as much as possible to keep doing good things to keep in off these debts you know to our soul when it goes into the next life to the next personality into the next body that our life is better and it's enhanced because we have all this good karma or essentially these good karmic entitlement if we can look at it and the terms of a bank account all this you know amazing wealth this wealth of karma like good karma that we can use so realizing though that in regards to you know this karma that we have in regards to our soul it follows our soul and so the personality like you don't always even have to focus on the karma meaning that prayer and connection to spirit and universe can change things around in a major way you don't even have to use any good karma to bless your life if you can connect in a way and connect to the universe and spirit in such a way that the energy the force of the universe can come down through you and use you and bless your life you don't have to worry about using or decreeing really good karma because your prayer itself has enough power has enough energy to change the thing in your life so something to think about as well something to focus on and realize you don't always have to focus on all my good karma my bad karma you know what's happening just keep being a good person keep doing good deeds keep on keep helping other people within your means let me just say that keep helping other people within your means which means you have to sometimes set boundaries so that time when maybe somebody keeps asking for money for something every month you see them on Instagram with a new bag you know a new hair new weave new nails like you might want to consider maybe should I keep giving this person money well the person that keeps calling you every night draining you of your own energy and I sell your karma but your energy because when you talk to them there's always something horrible happening it's always an emergency set boundaries help other people but set boundaries important lesson important important lesson important lesson something I learned like within a past year realizing I don't have any boundaries and setting them was of a major importance to me because I realized that I was not living my life but I was letting others I was letting others live essentially their life through me or in some ways I was even letting other people determine what my life should be like because essentially they were leading my life because I had no boundaries it was open so set boundaries people set boundaries it's important last thing I'm gonna say and this will end the the podcast here is that we think about karma on just one basic level and that basic level is like just us karma it's just us our personal self right and I mentioned before that karma goes with the soul okay so it's just us it's us this this shell this personality the soul there are many levels to karma many layers to karma and these levels and layers to karma are not just with the individual person what I mean there's self karma which is you but then there's also other kinds of karma there's family karma so the karma within your family there's community karma the karma based on in the community that you live in there is city karma where you live with city living and again let's we can keep going up state karma country karma world karma there are all these different levels and layers of karma again I don't that would be a like that need that needs to be a book or its own like workshop about focusing on different kinds of karma but I just wanted to sort of make it's a very basic level karma talking about that but realizing that and thinking about karma that it's not just the self that there's these other levels of karma even like race karma so sometimes you realize that your race is going through rough time like there's karma connected between people in your race as well like there's karma can't between people in your family so I know people sometimes say things like I'm gonna use this particular example in regards to slavery in America oh you know some white people say oh but that wasn't me that might have been my ancestors I'm not responsible for how black people are now actually there is race karma so you are living although you might not have had anything to do with enslaving black people in this lifetime anyway huh but realizing that there's race karma so sometimes you have to pray for and bless your race pray for and bless your community pray for bless your family because there's self karma but then there are these other levels and layers of karma that also determine sometimes what's happening in our life which is why sometimes when people like move sometimes to like different parts of the world or a different country sometimes it doesn't work out and they have to move back to where they came from originally because that person's self karma does not work with the karma of that country or that state or that neighborhood that community so realizing that sometimes we think something is just in the physical remote and work out because you know I had a rough time in the neighborhood or rough time in that country and I can speak the language and all these things that we might give excuses realizing that sometimes that could be true but sometimes it's beyond that there's an energetic and spiritual principle as to why sometimes I don't work out and that thing sometimes could be karma
