Hi,
This is Justin Randolph.
Thank you so much for joining me today with this guided meditation.
I am so excited to share with you what is my favorite meditation that has really helped serve me in my life and in my practice.
We come off into meditation in order to really clear the mind and some of us with an active mind,
Me included,
That's a daunting task to try to clear the mind.
And so this meditation is actually a little bit more active in the mind and asks of you to actually use your imagination and use your mind,
Which if you hate meditation this can be quite powerful.
We so often in life want peace,
We want success,
We want to manifest abundance and joy and we get stuck.
It's like what is in the way of that joy,
That peace,
That we so badly want to manifest?
And this meditation is gonna really help us to discover what our obstacles are.
So think of it as like peeling like layers of an onion away and I encourage you if you have the time just to include this in your daily meditation and it will reveal quite a lot to you and your subconscious will begin to take action and make change in your life so that you can manifest peace,
Joy,
Abundance and all the good stuff in life that we want.
So join me now.
So if it's comfortable for you find a place where you can sit comfortably.
You can sit in a chair,
You can sit up against a wall,
You can sit in Sukhasana which is easy seat,
You can sit in Virasana,
Hero's Pose,
Any seat that is comfortable for you.
You're welcome to also lie down.
Once you have your seat let your eyes be closed.
Allow your attention right away here to tune into your breath.
So can you just simply begin to watch as you breathe?
Noticing the inhales,
Noticing the exhales as they're naturally happening.
And as you continue to watch the breath there may be thoughts that are already sneaking in and that's okay.
There are distracting thoughts or if you've gone somewhere else already just come right back to your breath.
And now with the attention to the breath just notice how the body feels wherever you're sitting or lying.
Scanning the body,
Finding places of tension,
Places where we're maybe congested today or tight.
Notice if you're crinkling your forehead and if you are can you just let the skin of the forehead and the skin around the eyes relax.
Let your jaw be very soft.
Feel the tops of your shoulders just melt down.
Allow the muscles of the chest to relax.
Let your belly soften.
Fingertips and palms relax.
Feel your toes and your feet soften.
And if your mind is wondered just come back to your breath.
And now in your mind I want you to visualize a place where you feel most at peace.
This place can be anywhere.
It can be a beach.
It can be a room in your home.
It could be an imaginary place.
Somewhere where you've never been.
Usually the first thing that comes to mind is correct so don't worry about finding the right place.
Just be truthful with yourself.
Where do you feel the most at peace?
And then once you call that to mind,
Start to visualize it.
What does it look like?
Can you paint a very clear picture of this place so that you can begin to see colors,
Feel textures?
What do you smell?
What do you hear?
And what do you see?
Let your imagination just go wild.
And then notice how your body responds to being in this place.
Feel the softness and the space in the body.
Feel how every cell of your being is affected just by you mentally being in this place of peace.
And now as you begin to inhale I want you to inhale all of this peace.
So take in this place.
Take in all of the feelings,
All of the space that you're getting.
And then as you exhale you're going to exhale out whatever obstacles come to mind that prevent you from being in this place of peace every single moment.
So you're going to inhale this peace,
This wonderful place,
All of the feelings that come up with that.
And on each exhale you're going to exhale whatever obstacles come to mind.
And again there's nothing that is wrong.
There's no right or wrong.
It's whatever comes up for you is valid.
So inhale this peace,
Exhale the obstacles for you having that peace in your everyday life.
And if the mind wanders just come back.
Remember inhaling that peace,
This place where you're at,
Exhaling whatever obstacles come to mind.
You If your mind has wandered just come back to inhaling peace,
Exhaling your obstacles.
Inhale the peace,
Exhale the obstacles.
Now allow your attention to just come back away from the obstacles.
Come back to that place of peace.
Just take in all of that peace one more time.
See the picture that you have painted in your mind,
The colors,
The sounds,
The scents,
The feelings.
And then just begin to see that drift away as you come back to your body.
Reconnect with your breath.
See if you can get back to that place of just watching your inhales and your exhales.
And then as you are ready,
Gently opening your eyes,
Coming back into the room.
Thank you so much for joining me with this meditation.
You may be surprised at how many obstacles came up for you in this short meditation.
Don't let that alarm you,
It's informative.
So I encourage you if it's helpful for you to just sit down after this and write down whatever came up for you.
It's a great time of reflection and this meditation is just really there to help you get clear.
Most of us are in our own way when it comes to manifesting our own happiness,
Peace,
And joy in life.
You see,
No matter what obstacles come our way,
We always have that place of peace that is inside of us.
And the tricky part is operating and being in that place even through challenge and even when we're not physically in that place,
Right?
And that is where the work of this meditation practice helps.
And every day you come and you do the work and just like a muscle it gets stronger and stronger.
