Three Dantian Intuition Development Guided Meditation.
This guided meditation is designed to help you develop a deeper connection to the intuition of your physical,
Emotional,
And mental bodies.
You can use this to help find answers to difficult decisions,
As well as to learn about what might be motivating your decisions.
Before you begin this meditation,
Please come up with a question that you would like to explore.
You don't need any prior experience with meditation to do this.
Just follow along with the instructions.
If there are certain parts that are challenging,
Spend some time with them separately outside of the meditation.
The practice is meant to be done in a seated position.
You can do it on a chair,
A meditation cushion,
Or somewhere in nature.
Don't worry about having the perfect position,
Just be comfortable.
Try to give yourself 15 to 20 minutes for the entire practice.
Shut off your phone,
Close the doors,
And just make sure you have time for yourself.
The meditation.
Assume a comfortable seated position,
Close your eyes,
Take a deep breath,
And allow your body to relax.
Take a moment to give yourself permission to be here doing this meditation.
Allow yourself to let go of the outside world for the next 15 to 20 minutes,
And give yourself the gift of coming into presence with yourself.
Take three slow,
Full breaths,
Inhaling through your nose and exhaling out your mouth.
Allow yourself to begin to let go of all the stress and tension from the day,
And come into presence with the sensation of your body.
Feel the sensation of the breath filling your body and leaving your body.
With each exhale,
Let your body relax a little bit more.
If you're sitting in a chair,
Take a moment to feel the connection of your feet to the ground,
And if you're on a meditation cushion,
Then feel the connection of your butt to the cushion.
Try to feel the physical boundary between yourself and the floor or the cushion.
Now begin to breathe in and out through your nose.
You'll continue to breathe this way for the remainder of the meditation.
Bring your focus and attention to the area of your lower belly.
Begin to let the breath move in this area,
Expanding the lower belly as you inhale and contracting the lower belly as you exhale.
The expansion should move in all directions,
Forwards,
Backwards,
And to the sides.
Take nine slow,
Full breaths,
Just focusing on the sensation of the expansion and contraction into the lower belly.
Now that you've developed a conscious connection to this area of the lower belly,
Bring your question to mind and keep your focus on the lower belly.
Notice how this area reacts to the question.
Do you feel an urge to move forward,
To pull back,
Or nothing at all?
Keep posing the question to yourself as you observe the reaction of your lower belly.
This will be the intuitive response of your physical body to the question.
Now shift your attention up to the chest.
Again,
Follow your breath in and out of this area for nine full,
Slow breaths,
Just like you did in the lower belly.
Really try to connect into the physical sensation of the breath expanding in all directions,
Forwards,
Backwards,
To the sides,
Up and down.
Again,
Ask the question as you keep an awareness of the sensation in your chest.
How does your chest react?
What are the physical sensations that you feel as you pose the question?
Do you feel yourself pulled towards it,
Or do you feel a contraction away from the question?
This is the intuitive response of your emotional body.
Now shift your attention up to the head.
Instead of focusing on the movement in the skull,
Simply follow the sensation of the breath coming and going through your sinuses.
Take nine slow,
Full breaths and just connect into the physical sensation of the breath coming and going through the head.
Once again,
While keeping an awareness of the sensation in your head,
Bring your question to mind.
Again,
Notice how your physical body reacts to the question.
This is the intuitive response of your mental body.
Now take a few slow,
Deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose and exhaling out the mouth,
And feeling your feet upon the ground as you gently allow yourself to come back into the normal waking reality.
Make note of how each area of your body responded to the question.
Were they the same or different?
It's not unusual to get different responses.
If there were differences,
Spend some time trying to figure out why that is.
This process can be very helpful when trying to make a difficult decision or when we feel pulled in multiple directions.
It's a great practice to help you get in touch with the intuitive wisdom of your different bodies.
With time and practice,
You'll be able to simply ask the question and bring your awareness to each area of your body and feel the response immediately.
Thank you.
