Hello,

And welcome to this affirmation meditation for supporting breastfeeding and milk supply.

My name is Julie Ila Grace,

And I am honored to be your guide today.

The music you'll hear in the background was composed by Antonio Chiloto and is specifically attuned to the frequencies associated with the heart and chest and is intended for healing and stimulating of this area.

Today we are using this time to relax,

Uplift,

And help reprogram the mind,

Which can become frustrated or even negative if there is difficulty with breastfeeding or milk supply.

Of a personal note,

I created this meditation because it was something I also needed to hear when struggling with milk supply after a postpartum hemorrhage.

Breastfeeding can be incredibly emotional,

And additionally,

These emotions arrive at a time when a woman's hormones are shifting dramatically.

Of course,

These affirmations can also be used by anyone breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed.

They are not only for those who are struggling.

Regardless of your current circumstances,

Know that you are not alone and that you are amazing for taking the time to connect with your body today,

Which will ultimately connect you further to your baby.

To maximize the effect of the affirmations,

Try listening to them every day throughout as much of your breastfeeding journey as necessary.

While the first six weeks after your child's birth are considered of particular importance,

Know that these affirmations can be useful at any time.

You may wish to listen to them while feeding your baby,

Or you may prefer to listen to them at a quiet moment,

Such as when your baby is sleeping.

In a few moments,

You will hear the affirmations begin.

Know that there is no need to repeat the affirmations aloud.

Simply allow the words to wash over and through you,

And trust that your subconscious mind is absorbing them.

Even if sometimes the words do not align with your current feelings,

Know that whatever you practice,

You get better at.

So if you practice positive thinking and connection to your body,

You get better at thinking positively and connecting.

Conversely,

If you practice negative thinking and body shaming,

You will get better at that too,

Unfortunately.

So let's practice those positive connections.

If your mind occasionally wanders during the practice,

That's okay.

Again,

Just trust that your subconscious mind is receiving the messages.

Let's begin by taking a few deep breaths through the nose,

With exhales sighing or blowing the air out of the mouth.

Feel yourself dropping into the moment,

Into your breath and into your body.

Feel your lungs and the rise and fall of your chest.

Take a few moments to simply appreciate the act of taking deep breaths.

Notice how you feel.

Allow your body and mind to calm more and more with each breath.

Taking gratitude for the air,

Your natural ability to breathe,

And the fact that you are here to look after your baby.

When you're ready,

Breathe however feels natural to you and allow these affirmations to wash over and through you.

Dear body,

Thank you for nourishing me and my baby and allowing us to share this life together.

I honor every moment and every feed we have together,

But I know that I am so much more than a feeding machine for my baby.

My baby appreciates every drop of milk I make and loves me for being their mother and I love being a mother.

While I may not love every aspect of motherhood,

I love being a mom and I am so grateful that I have this opportunity to be a parent.

Thank you body for all the amazing things you do for me at every moment,

From breathing to keeping my heart beating.

My best and my body's best are enough.

Every drop of breast milk that I produce is helpful for my baby.

My love for my baby is not measured in milliliters or ounces.

I choose to ask for support when I need it and I am learning to reach out more and more.

I take this journey one day at a time,

One moment at a time,

One latch at a time,

And one feed at a time.

Regardless of how much milk I am producing,

I am enough.

I am more than enough as a mother and as a person.

I choose to ignore any discouraging words from others and instead focus on the journey that I want to have with my baby.

My breastfeeding journey matters.

My baby nurses for more than hunger.

I honor my baby's needs for closeness and comfort and I am so grateful that I can give that to them.

My baby and I work together.

Together we nourish their body and I am so grateful for the experience of connecting to my baby in this way.

My baby is surrounded by love and every cell of my baby's body is divinely healthy.

My baby's future is bright,

Joyful,

And secure.

Harmony,

Peace,

Love,

And joy surround and dwell in me.

I pass this energy onto my baby not only during feeds but always.

I am exactly what my baby needs.

I am safe and secure and my baby is safe and secure.

I am completely open to receive the abundant flow of prosperity in the universe.

Likewise,

My milk flows freely and easily.

My milk supply is abundant.

It flows like the ocean.

My breast milk continuously adapts to my baby's needs.

Though I may need to supplement with donor milk or formula on this journey,

That is more than okay.

What is important is that my baby is loved and fed and that I love and feed my baby.

I will keep trying and I am grateful for every opportunity that I have to breastfeed.

Some days are harder than others and that's okay.

Some days milk production slows and I choose to remember that this is normal and I carry on.

It is okay to feel frustrated,

Scared,

Or hurt.

I honor and accept my feelings,

Whatever they are.

When I am feeling low,

I remember to breathe deeply.

By breathing deeply,

I help my body to relax and my milk flows more easily.

My best is enough.

I am enough.

I am grateful for every drop of milk my baby receives and I honor the output of each session,

Whether feeding or pumping.

I remember that it could be otherwise and I choose gratitude.

I accept and love my baby exactly as they are,

Regardless of fussiness,

Colic,

Or any other difficulty.

When I am frustrated,

I breathe and dive into the deep wells of love that I have for my baby.

I learn to cultivate and trust my instincts and intuition as a mother more and more each day.

I am doing everything I can and I am an amazing mother for doing this.

I choose to dwell in my goodness and the love and dedication I have for my baby.

I allow peace to saturate every part of my life.

I ask for help and take time for myself when I need it.

Keeping my mind,

Body,

And spirit healthy only serves to improve the lives of my baby and my loved ones.

In every moment,

I choose gratitude.

I am grateful for my body and all its abilities.

I am grateful that I am alive here and now to spend this time with my baby.

I am grateful for each moment and each day on earth and I choose to live in love rather than fear.

Because of my milk supply,

I have boundless love for my baby.

This is the most important part of my breastfeeding journey.

My baby and I thrive on love.

I am love.

I am love.

I am love.

And I am grateful.

Thank you so much for this meditation. As a first time mother who had both a c section and a postpartum hemorrhage, I’ve been struggling with staying positive in the midst of milk supply trouble. This really relaxed me. I will definitely be revisiting it.
