Let's get comfortable now.
Lie on your back,
Your feet are apart,
Arms are away from your body and palms facing up.
Now close your eyes and remain very still.
Feel the floor beneath you as it holds your body.
Sense the sky above and the earth below as it supports you.
Allow your body and mind to relax.
Let any thoughts just float away.
Focus on your breath.
Focus as you breathe in and breathe out.
You are becoming so relaxed.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in and out.
Breathe in and out.
Softly,
Quietly,
Gently.
And you are becoming more and more relaxed.
We have seven main chakras in our body from the base of the spine to the top of our head.
They distribute energy around our body to keep us healthy,
Balanced,
Peaceful and calm.
Chakra means wheel.
So these energy wheels rotate to keep us fit and healthy.
Let's send some energy and healing to our chakras to rebalance them.
All you need to do is relax and listen to my voice.
Sense your root chakra at the base of your spine.
This chakra keeps us grounded and the element is earth.
Breathe into your root chakra and let it soften and gently expand on your breath,
Taking in nourishment and life force energy.
Allow your root chakra to connect down,
Down to the ground below,
Deep into the earth and invite in the color red,
The color of the earth.
Bathe your root chakra with the color red and let your root chakra take what it needs.
And when you are ready,
Let's move your awareness up your body to just below your belly button.
This is your sacral chakra,
Your chakra of choice,
Creativity and movement.
The element is water.
Breathe into your sacral chakra.
Let it gently soften and expand on your breath,
Taking in nourishment and life force energy.
And invite in the color orange.
Bathe your sacral chakra with orange.
Let it be balanced and absorb this energy.
And when you are ready,
Move your awareness up to the soft area,
Just below your lungs,
To your solar plexus,
Your chakra of personal power.
The element is fire.
Breathe into here,
Allowing your solar plexus to soften and expand on your breath.
And inviting the color yellow,
The color of sunshine.
Bathe your solar plexus with sunshine,
Replenishing,
Restoring,
Nurturing.
Letting your solar plexus take what it needs.
When you are ready,
Bring your awareness up to the center of your chest,
To your heart chakra,
Your chakra of love.
The element is air.
Gently breathe into your heart chakra,
Letting it soften and expand on your breath.
And inviting the color green or rose pink,
Whichever color feels right for you.
Bathe your heart chakra with nourishment and healing.
And let your heart take what it needs.
In your own time,
Move up to your neck,
To your throat chakra,
Your chakra of communication and creativity.
The element is sound.
Allow your throat center to soften,
Expand and breathe.
Inviting in the color blue,
The color of the sky.
Breathe sky blue into your throat center,
Clearing and opening.
And let your throat chakra take what it needs.
And when you are ready,
Take your focus up to your forehead,
Between your eyebrows to your third eye chakra,
Your chakra of wisdom.
Gently allow it to soften,
Expand and breathe.
The element is light.
Inviting the color indigo,
The velvety color of the night sky.
Bathe your third eye with indigo,
Soothing,
Balancing and bringing clarity.
Let your third eye take what it needs.
Moving up in your own time to the top of your head,
To your crown chakra,
Your chakra of knowledge.
Allowing your crown chakra to breathe.
The element is thought.
Gently inviting the color light violet.
Softly bathing your crown chakra in light violet.
Balancing,
Restoring and harmonizing.
Let your crown chakra take what it needs.
When you are ready,
Bring your awareness back to your whole body and back to your breath.
Focus as you breathe in and breathe out.
Your chakras have all been bathed in color and energy and they are spinning.
So let's close your chakras down slightly so that they are not fully open.
Just become aware of them closing slightly,
Almost like a flower closing its petals.
And notice how you are feeling.
And hold yourself with loving kindness for the beautiful unique being that you are.
And you may wish to remain still and continue with your relaxation or you can slowly come back to the room,
Drawing your meditation to a close.
