As you take a nice deep breath,

I would like you to imagine a box.

And you can even see your inhalation filling up this box.

And then allowing the box to stay full for a few seconds.

And then seeing the box empty out on the exhale.

And let's just do this a couple times.

Inhaling and filling up the box.

Holding the breath at the top,

Allowing the box to stay full.

And then seeing the box empty out as you exhale.

And one more time.

And now that you're already feeling a little bit more relaxed,

Focused,

You can even imagine your body as this box.

And just imagining becoming very aware now of your skin,

The limits of your own body,

Your own container.

Feeling if you're seated,

Where your body touches the chair.

If you're laying down,

What points of the body are being supported beneath you.

And even feeling your feet,

The way they touch the floor.

Just becoming very aware of the limits of your own container.

I'm going to invite you to allow to arise any distractions,

Any kind of compulsions,

Any racing thoughts,

Any repetitive movements,

Any kind of compulsions for checking,

For reaching towards the outside,

The exterior.

Anything that has been distracting you,

Known or unknown.

Allowing them to just arise now.

And as these feelings,

Thoughts,

Patterns,

Behaviors of distraction come up,

I'm just going to invite you to put them into a box,

Imagining again a box in your mind.

And easily sorting,

Putting away,

Sorting through,

Cleaning up,

Arranging these thoughts,

These compulsions,

These patterns of distraction.

And so as they come up for you,

Just putting them in this box.

It could be a cardboard box,

Or maybe it's a very elaborate trunk or chest,

But whatever it is,

Putting them in this container.

And once you feel like all of these patterns,

Distractions,

Feelings,

Compulsions have kind of arose,

And have all been tidied into this box,

Going ahead and closing the box.

And you can even lock it with a little key,

Knowing that you hold the key,

And maybe some of these desires or distractions or thoughts are going to be useful for you sometime in the future,

And knowing that you will have the key when the time is right.

But for now,

Going ahead and just locking up this container.

And you can even see yourself putting it away on a shelf,

Into a closet,

Wherever you want to keep these thoughts for later,

For a time when you can completely focus on them.

And now feeling yourself completely open and emptied out of any distractions,

You can feel kind of wave of focus move throughout the body,

Maybe even like a beam of light,

A laser of focus,

Moving through your body now,

Bringing you into complete alignment.

And knowing that the next task,

The next activity,

Action that you choose to do,

You will be able to achieve with laser-like focus,

With this complete feeling of alignment,

Precision,

Presence,

And focus.

Feeling now so completely focused,

Aligned,

So precise and intentional.

And feeling this laser beam moving through your whole body,

Even feeling yourself glowing with the desire to focus,

With the discipline necessary.

And already feeling the sense of accomplishment that you will feel once you have completed what you need to do.

And taking a moment now,

Taking a few deep breaths to breathe in this feeling of accomplishment,

This feeling of laser focus,

This sense of presence and focus and disciplined.

Present and focused and disciplined.

And feeling a sense of pride in your own presence and focus and discipline.

Already feeling accomplished,

Ready to continue with presence,

Focus,

And discipline.
