The Road To Travel
by Joy Truscott
Short Guided Connection to re-align to the point of choice and understand the significance of us choosing for our Highest Best. At every point along the path, we chose to take we have resting points that bring us to pause and reflect. Here we find ourselves at the choice point and we get the point of the experiencing if we consider the worthiness of the journey and the significance of our life.

Beautiful.
So we're going to come into a deeper space now where we can hold this beautiful,
Amazing body that can feel so much,
Experience so much in this lifetime.
And at the same time,
It can also release everything that it has felt known so that we can move into new and clean and open spaces,
New,
Clear,
Open,
Beautiful,
Sparkling spaces.
So what we have experienced in our life,
No need for it to continue in our life.
The experience is what is necessary for us to make leaps within our awareness.
And the experience is only a catalyst that moves us forward and moves us to a point of choice.
So we recognize now that we are filled with experiences,
Some of them wonderful and some of them not.
And all of them have brought us to places where we've decided something about them.
Do we like it or not?
Would we embrace it or not?
And think now about yourself in general,
All experiences of your life.
There is not one experience that your system has not coded in some way.
It's been asking all the while for you to come to a point of agreement with yourself.
Yes,
I like this.
No,
I don't.
These are guiding pathways.
The guiding pathways lead us to the path that is our truth.
And when we have experiences,
They are asking us to make a choice.
So see yourself now as if you are on a journey.
And so you're carrying all the things you would need with you to be on a journey.
And as you visualize yourself with your baggage and luggage,
See that part of you that is carrying it and then feel yourself that part of you that is carrying it and then feel the part of you now that is resting where it is.
This part of you here that is considering the idea of a journey,
This part of you is here resting.
And become very aware of that.
I'm a body and the place that I'm resting in is holding me.
And I'm being held by gravity.
I'm aware of my heartbeat.
I'm aware of my breath.
I'm aware of the light around me that I can sense even though my eyes are closed.
I'm aware of the time of day,
The season,
The year and where I am and who I am.
And ask your body to relax deeply into that place now.
Drop all its tension and feel loved and feel held in the sanctuary that you have created.
This truly is a sanctuary.
And I'm here to hold you in the sanctuary that you have created.
This truly is a sanctuary.
And it is the gift you give to you.
And while this part of you rests,
The other part of you,
An aspect of you,
An image of you,
Can be seen in your mind's eye just as much as you can also see yourself where you are resting.
And your eyes are still closed.
And now you see yourself with your luggage and getting ready for a journey.
And see yourself taking a walk along a road and gathering bits of information,
Souvenirs.
Pack them into your bag.
Randomly we have been gathering many souvenirs of this experience.
Randomly because we haven't considered them.
And so we carry them into the bag and the bag is getting heavier and heavier.
And soon the shoulder is getting tired.
The burden upon your body of carrying this bag in your right arm is exhausting.
And so you stop now.
You're not going to carry this bag,
This silly nonsense anymore.
All these trinkets,
All this stuff.
Most of it,
I don't even know where it came from.
I don't know what it belongs to.
And you're not going to carry this bag in your right arm.
You don't know what it belongs to.
So you open the bag and then you take out all the little trinkets.
Bits of material,
Objects,
Stuff.
Nothing has any real shape or value.
It's just kind of random stuff.
And you imagine you open up and plonk the stuff around you.
It's like,
Oh my gosh,
What was I thinking?
Look at all this stuff.
Don't even know where half of it came from.
And I don't really care.
And so you pick up each piece and you try to connect with it and you hold in your hand and you think,
Okay,
Where did you come from?
Where did I pick you up?
What is your story?
And as you hold it and you feel and you try to feel,
There's just like,
No,
Nothing there.
So put it down and thank it for being present in your life.
And put it in the pile,
No thank you.
Pick up the next one,
Hold it.
No,
I can't remember anything about you either.
No,
Not much.
Put it in the no thank you pile.
And keep going.
And picking up most of these,
You will find that most of them belong in the no thank you pile.
It's much bigger than the pile that says yes,
Wonderful.
And soon the pile that says no thank you is so big that you can see it has absorbed most of the weight of the suitcase.
It has occupied a great deal of the space in this bag.
And so the decision is here,
Well,
Will I carry any further and what's the point?
If it is of no value to me and I can barely reconnect with the significance of it,
What is the point of putting it in this bag?
And so we leave it there.
We leave it as one of those piles of stones that we find along the trails,
One stone packed upon each other,
Marking a point.
Let this mark a point of stopping.
And so we pack the stones,
All these objects,
Random things up like a little pile of stone.
And to the treasures that you wish to keep,
The fond,
Loving,
Generous memories,
Thoughts and connections,
Pop them in the bag,
They're worth carrying.
And pick the bag up and feel how light it is.
And before you walk away from this pile,
Before you move on and move forward,
Send a message of great love to that which you gathered,
Which seemed significant at the time,
That in one way or another informed the direction of your journey.
And now because you can collect a whole lot of these ideas together,
Not put one in any special category above another,
They are all just memories and they are all just experiences.
No one experience is more special than the other.
All those gatherings that collective of them has brought me to this point.
And it is at this point that I see the point.
There is a path ahead and I can choose.
And what would I choose now?
Would I choose a path that is filled with burden and hardship where I stumble and fall?
Or would I choose to hop and skip like a child with great delight and take the path that feels lovely,
Scenic,
Enjoyable,
Delightful,
Fun?
Which path would I choose?
And when you see the path that fills you up with great delight,
Choose it.
Choose it by walking into it.
And as you walk every step and every beat of your heart and every footprint that you are placing onto this path,
Feel your significance here.
That when I choose a path that is significant and when I choose to take a walk in the light,
The Divine light,
And when I choose to be delighted upon my path,
Feel your significance here.
And when I choose to be delighted upon my path,
Then that choice right there creates an energy resonance.
And with every step I'm taking I'm imprinting into this earth a new energy,
An energy that says we thrive,
We're abundant,
We're happy,
We are fulfilled,
We are blessed,
We are gracious,
We are grateful.
And imagine imprinting an energy simply by being the energy.
And then imagine that there is another behind you at that point.
What shall I choose?
And the decision is hard because not everybody knows what is right and what is wrong.
And the decision is hard because not everybody knows what it feels like to be happy.
And you chose happy and you felt it and now you're imprinting it.
And as the one who stands there behind you,
Ready to make a choice,
Now they look at the footprints that you created and for a while they stand in that footprint of yours.
And as they stand in your footprint,
A surge of energy that you imprinted upon the earth travels up through the soles of their feet and touches their soul.
This is the way.
There is something else,
There is another way.
And the choice to embrace that or not is the gift,
The possibility that you place.
Simply by choosing you are helping to bring in an energy of potential possibility.
And everyone's choice is their choice.
Let the gift of you being upon your journey and the highest energy that you can hold be the greatest gift,
The legacy of your life.
And may the imprints that you leave be the gift of your life.
And may the imprints that you leave leave marks that others can follow.
And may the blessing truly come back to you tenfold plus for every step that steps into the path that is clear.
And then feel that blessing now.
Receive that blessing.
Allow yourself to be happy and to be happy.
Feel that blessing.
Allow yourself to be here and dream,
Imagine,
Create,
Call upon your highest creativity and create with reckless abandon and great delight.
Feel the blessing,
Feel the love and stay there now and dream.
And dream.
So much love.
So much love.
Namaste.

Lately I’ve been sitting deeply with: I chose to delete and uncreate everything I think I am..... This meditation is such a great companion for this space. I choose to leave even the bag!!! Thank you joy for another abundant gift!

Dear Joy, The image that came to mind was of me walking down the road with my suitcase so full of stuff that I had to walk with my nightgown tucked under my arm because there was no room for it in my suitcase. The past few years I have been very focused on letting go of both physical objects, and emotional clutter. The choices we make along our path affect us greatly. Unburdening ourselves makes room for light, and love, and peace. Thank you 🌻
