Hi and welcome to this daily dose of self-love.
Think about what it takes for a tiny seedling to grow into a majestic tree.
We often overlook the fact that we too are part of nature and that any deep transformation within ourselves demands patience,
Perseverance,
And trust in the process.
Just like we nurture a plant with daily care,
Giving ourselves a daily dose of self-love is the most reliable way for us to grow and flourish.
This is what we'll be doing in today's meditation.
Start by settling into a comfortable position,
Creating conditions for you to be both relaxed and attentive.
Allow your spine to naturally lengthen,
Finding a posture that feels effortless.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Allowing it to fill your entire body,
Then exhale slowly.
With each exhale,
Release any obvious tension you may notice.
Perhaps in the face,
The shoulders,
Or the hands.
Now gently close your eyes and mouth,
Breathing steadily through your nose.
As you become still,
Focus your attention on an anchor for this meditation.
Perhaps the sensation of the breath entering and leaving your nostrils,
Or the gentle rise and fall of your chest,
Or the subtle movements of your abdomen.
If you notice the mind has wandered during this practice,
Know that it's natural,
It's what minds do,
And simply acknowledge the distraction and gently guide your focus back to your chosen anchor here in the present moment.
Observe your breathing with a sense of curiosity,
As if you were exploring it for the first time.
Take a moment to scan your body,
Noticing any sensations or feelings without judgment or attachment.
As you continue to breathe,
Allow your breath to naturally slow down,
Feeling each inhale and exhale with greater ease and depth.
Notice how with each breath,
A sense of calmness and tranquility fills you,
Softening any remaining tension or stress.
Remain in this state of mindful awareness,
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Now scan your body and see if there is any part of you that perhaps doesn't feel so good or not as good as the rest of your mind and body.
This part might show up as negative thoughts about yourself,
Or as difficult sensations in the body,
Such as tightness,
Pain,
Or agitation.
As you breathe in,
Simply observe this experience as it is,
Without judgment.
Observe how it manifests in physical sensations in your body,
And notice if it is related to a particular feeling,
Perhaps a fear,
Sadness,
Anger,
Or shame.
Now,
Picture your inner child standing before you,
Feeling this difficult feeling.
Notice what happens within you as you witness this vulnerable part of you needing to be loved.
Gently let this part of you know that you're here,
That it's not alone.
And see if there's anything your inner child needs from you right now.
Maybe acceptance,
Reassurance,
Encouragement,
Or perhaps a big warm hug.
Now imagine that you and your inner child merge back into one loving being.
As you do so,
You start to radiate a magical light from your heart that creates a warm feeling of love,
A pure light that brings love and joy to everything it touches.
You can use this light to send love wherever it's needed,
Starting with yourself,
Letting this light illuminate your entire being.
And then sending it outside of you,
Either generally or specifically towards one or more people.
We're now going to focus on seven affirmations to nourish you with a daily dose of self-love.
Allow the words contained in these affirmations to resonate within you,
While remaining focused on the sensation of your breath.
First affirmation,
I am always worthy of love,
No matter what I do or have done.
Second affirmation,
I give myself the love that I need.
Third affirmation,
Perfection is an illusion,
I am perfectly imperfect.
Fourth affirmation,
Mistakes are an integral part of my journey.
Fifth affirmation,
I forgive myself.
Sixth affirmation,
I give love to my body through healthy nutrition,
Physical exercise,
And paying attention to my sleep.
Seventh affirmation,
It doesn't matter where I am,
What matters more is the direction I'm going.
Before transitioning back to the external world,
Take a moment to appreciate the stillness and peace you've cultivated within,
Knowing that you can return to this inner state whenever you need.
Now gently bring awareness to the sounds that surround you,
Feeling the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you.
And when you feel ready,
With a sense of gratitude for this time you've dedicated to yourself,
Gently open your eyes to let the light in.
I hope you enjoyed today's daily dose of self-love.
Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow for a new daily dose meditation.
