Namaste and welcome to this primordial sound meditation.
Please find a comfortable seat with your spine in a vertical position.
As you find your place take a few slightly deeper breaths and when you're ready you can close your eyes.
Take a moment here to release any expectations that you may have for today's practice.
If your intention is to sit in meditation and experience its benefits,
Your higher self will grant you exactly what you need to make that happen in this moment.
Resist the natural human urge to compare one session with another and allow each meditation to be as it is,
As it is.
Allow your body to breathe naturally and with each exhale let yourself relax a little further.
Simply observe your breath.
As we breathe into our practice we're going to ask ourselves the four sole questions.
Silently ask yourself the question,
Who am I?
Who am I?
Resist the urge to answer your own question and simply allow whatever comes up in your mind to float by.
Just watch,
Do not force anything.
Who am I?
And now let go of that question and imagery.
Moving on to the next question,
What do I want?
What do I want?
Just watch what is popping up for you,
Resisting the urge to give energy to any of these ideas and again ask the question,
What do I want?
From here we let go again and we silently ask ourselves,
What is my purpose?
What is my purpose?
Again let images appear and float away without holding them.
What is my purpose?
And one final question,
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
In what ways am I fortunate today?
How am I blessed in my life?
Again resisting the urge to answer and openly asking the question,
What am I grateful for?
And now let go of all these questions and the answers that have popped up and put your attention gently on your breath.
Continuing to let your body breathe how it wants,
Simply watch and rest for a moment.
Rest in the perspective of witnessing awareness and now shift your attention to your inner voice and begin to repeat your personal mantra silently in your mind.
Repeat your mantra over and over,
Allowing the vibrations to sink into your conscious field and soothe your body-mind.
Keep your attention on the gentle repetition.
If you become distracted by a thought,
An emotion or sensation in your body,
Gently refocus on your mantra and continue.
This is proper meditation.
If your life is busy at the moment,
Your mind may be turbulent and you may lose the mantra many times.
If things are calm,
It may happen less.
Either way it doesn't matter.
What matters is your choice to return to the vibration of the mantra over and over again.
We will continue like this in silence.
I will keep an eye on the time and call you back at the end.
Enjoy your meditation.
You may softly let go of your mantra,
But keep your eyes closed and rest.
Rest in awareness.
Rest in consciousness.
Rest in being.
Simply rest.
The moments following meditation are precious opportunities to set intentions for life.
You can think of these as seeds planted deep in your subconscious.
You'll repeat each of these silently after me,
Allowing them to resonate inward.
Joyful,
Energetic body.
Joyful,
Energetic body.
Calm,
Reflective mind.
Calm,
Reflective mind.
Loving,
Compassionate heart.
Loving,
Compassionate heart.
Lightness of being.
Lightness of being.
And now let all of these intentions go,
Letting them sink deeply into your mind,
Allowing the universe to sort out all the details.
Take a moment to thank yourself for sitting down to meditate today.
As simple as the practice may be,
It can be one of the most difficult things to actually do.
Our modern conditioning does not value stillness and rest,
So your choice to sit down should be celebrated.
Before you open your eyes and return to activity,
Take a few deeper,
More intentional breaths to seal your meditation.
May the longtime sun shine upon you.
All love surround you.
And may the divine light inside you guide your way forward.
This practice is complete.
