Good morning.

My name is Jessica Graham.

I'm an author,

Meditation teacher,

And sex relationship and spirituality guide.

In this session,

I'm going to help you make today all about treating yourself with love and care so you can recharge before the new week begins.

Let's get right into it.

Start by settling into your posture and closing your eyes if you like.

Give your hips and shoulders a little wiggle to find the perfect alignment for you.

Take a few nice slow and deep breaths.

Allow yourself to sigh on the exhale.

The first thing I'd like to invite you to do is to simply relax.

Take a moment to relax from your head to your feet.

Relax your face,

Including your eyes and jaw.

Relax your neck and shoulders.

Relax your chest and stomach.

Relax your back,

Your hips,

Seat,

And pelvic area.

Relax your legs and feet.

Focus on the sensations of relaxation in your body.

Breathe and relax.

Before we set an intention for today,

Let's do a quick inventory of what might be on your mind this morning.

Are there any tasks on your to-do list that you feel are important to get done today?

Maybe there are a few emails you'd like to reply to,

Or perhaps you just want to jot down your top priorities for this week.

Take a moment to think about these tasks.

Nothing too time-consuming.

Just small tasks that you can do today to set you up for a smooth work week.

Set the intention to complete those tasks this afternoon,

So you can avoid feeling stressed this evening.

I want you feeling good tonight.

Great.

Now that you've considered that,

Let's get back to how good today is going to be.

Take a moment and consider what would bring you the most joy and relaxation today.

What would make you feel good?

What would be fun,

But not draining?

What small and large acts of self-care could you take?

Get clear on how you'd like to spend your day,

And then let's set a few intentions.

Now,

Say in your mind,

Today,

I will move toward joy and relaxation.

Today,

I will focus on what feels good.

Today,

I will have fun and take it easy.

Today,

I will give myself the gift of self-care.

Now,

I want you to focus on how you'd like to feel today.

Imagine a time when you felt calm,

Relaxed,

And joyful.

Start to cultivate those feelings throughout your body.

Infuse this moment with the memory of feeling good.

Keep encouraging this feeling to move throughout your body.

This is the feeling I want you to navigate towards all day long.

This feeling is your true north.

Set your compass towards self-care and enjoyment.

If at any time you feel that you've gone off track,

Come back to this feeling.

That might mean ending brunch early so you can go to a yoga class.

Or,

Cancelling yoga so you can go to a long and luxurious brunch.

Put yourself and your own well-being first today.

Relaxing is a really important part of self-care.

In our fast-paced lives,

We often overlook this much-needed element throughout our week.

But this can happen during the weekend,

Too.

We often pack so much in that we don't have a chance to actually recharge,

And by Monday morning we're ready for a day off.

You work hard,

And you deserve to slow down and do what brings you the most joy.

By taking time for what feels best for you,

You'll have more to give at work or school,

As well as to your friends and family.

Self-care isn't selfish.

Your self-care is a gift to everyone in your life.

Take another moment to return to your intention of self-care and to feeling calm,

Relaxation,

And joy.

Breathe into this.

Breathing in,

And breathing out.

Okay,

If your eyes are closed,

You can now open them.

Great job!

You've just started your Sunday with a huge dose of self-care.

Just taking the time to meditate is already a wonderful beginning.

Get those few small tasks for tomorrow done,

And then keep moving towards ease and joy today.

You can return to this series this evening for another dose of self-care.

Until next time,

Enjoy your day.

You deserve it.
