This is a meditation on Psalms 46 verse 10.

Be still and know that I am God.

Let's begin by assuming a comfortable posture.

We'll repeat this verse over and over in the mind.

Be still and know that I am God.

Listen in deep and receptive silence.

If prayer is speaking to God,

Meditation is listening.

Be very still and open your mind.

Go past all the thoughts and illusions that obscure union with God.

Seep deep into the peace that waits for you beyond the obstruction of thoughts,

The peace that surpasses all understanding,

And return unto thy rest,

O my soul.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

You're inviting God's voice to speak to you.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

The word God does not describe the concepts we have made.

God is beyond conceptual understanding.

Preoccupation with theory,

Doctrine,

And philosophy distracts us from the important work that we need to do.

Let us put aside our pretensions and hubris,

As it is written,

God is spirit.

They that worship must worship in spirit and in truth.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

The I am that I am of the Old Testament,

Who abides in this holy instant,

The living God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that.

Try to sink down and inward.

You're trying to reach past thoughts,

Trying to leave appearances and approach reality.

Be still and know that truth,

That reality.

Make a sincere attempt to get past the dark and heavy clouds and to go through them to the light which illuminates the mind,

To that which animates you.

The divine gives light to the mind and shines within it.

Be still and know that.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know.

This is not a call to theory or to more thinking.

This knowing is beyond intellect.

It is that from which the intellect derives its light.

We're trying to see past the veil of ignorance that keeps the light concealed.

We're trying to let the veil be lifted.

Determined to reach that stillness,

Continue letting go of all the content that occupies your consciousness.

Be still and know.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still and know that I am God.

Be still.

Here we reference Mark 4 verse 39.

Peace,

Be still.

And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

When the winds of thoughts settle,

There is a great calm.

The peace that surpasses all understanding.

Do not allow your intent to waver in the face of distracting thoughts.

Be still.

Because that whatever form such thoughts may take,

They have no meaning and no power.

Replace them with your determination to be still.

Your will has the power over all illusions the mind conjures.

And you can choose to let go and to be still.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear,

But of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Applying the power of mind,

Be still.

Return unto thy rest,

O my soul.

For God has not given us the spirit of fear,

But of power and of a sound mind.

Replace them with your determination to be still.

Be.

Deep within you is light and peace,

Ready to radiate through you and out into the world.

Be.

Simply be.

Surrender and the grace of God will take care of the rest.
