Explore the practice of Pratyahara, a journey through the senses to deepen your inner awareness. Rather than withdrawing completely, this guided session invites you to travel within the realm of your senses, observing their subtleties and discovering how they shape your experience. Welcome.

My name is Jessica.

At this moment,

Find your way to a comfortable posture.

Let your intuition guide you into finding this comfortable posture.

In this moment,

Everything the way it is,

Is a welcoming and inviting setting for inward practice.

Now close your eyes to the outside world to bring your focus to your inside world.

Notice your breath here and let the inhale and the exhale be your anchor.

There is no need to modify the breath here.

Just observe your breath consciously.

The inhale,

The exhale.

See if you can feel calm,

Fluid,

And peaceful.

Now we bring our awareness to the sensations present in our body.

With your eyes gently closed,

Observe what you can see.

Perhaps a little light coming through the eyelids.

Perhaps a little darkness that is soothing and inviting to rest in this area.

Notice all the sounds you can hear now.

Perhaps you can hear the sound of my voice gently guiding you.

Perhaps you can hear the noises inside of this room.

Perhaps even the noises outside of the room.

Observe here and now.

Just let the vibrations take place.

Here notice the breath and with each inhale invite your sense of smell to observe what odors are present.

At the exhale notice the warmth of the air coming out of the nostrils.

Feel and observe the nourishing inhale and the liberating exhale.

Now traveling our attention to our mouth,

Invite this whole area to soften.

Let the jaw unclench.

Let the tongue relax by letting it go from the palate.

Notice any taste present in the mouth without judgment here.

Just noticing.

Here witness now the sensations present on your skin.

Perhaps you are noticing the air,

The temperature of the room,

The texture of your clothes.

Maybe you are noticing the parts of the body that are supported by the ground and the parts that are not.

Moving on from the physical sensations,

Here observe how you are feeling right now in this moment.

Imagine now in this moment something that represents calmness and ease.

A suggestion here can be a body of water in nature such as a lake,

A river,

Or an ocean.

A safe and secure beautiful body of water present.

With each breath notice the calmness and ease present throughout.

Be here in this moment radiating peace and the beauty of you.

Gently bring your awareness now to the physical body and begin moving gently.

Perhaps your fingers,

Your toes,

Or your head.

Move with fluidity and calmness.

Bring the hands to the heart.

Thank yourself for taking this time for yourself.

I thank you for trusting my guidance.

May this inner peace and beauty be present beyond and follow you through your day so you can share this ease with those around you.

Namaste.
