Hello and welcome to today's practice.

Today we'll be exploring unlocking your true self.

Please start by finding a comfortable position.

You may be laying down or sitting upright,

Whichever you prefer,

And we'll start by gently closing down our eyes.

In today's practice we are going to explore unlocking your true self,

Allowing you to step into the person you've always wanted to be,

Propelling you into the new year with a newfound sense of empowerment and motivation,

Sprinkled with some self-compassion for where we may currently be in the journey to become our true selves.

So I invite you to take a deep breath in through your nose,

Breathing deep into your belly and exhaling slowly out your mouth.

Again breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth.

Breathing in through your nose all the way into your stomach,

Holding and releasing out through your mouth.

Breathing one more time in through your nose,

Deeply into your stomach,

All the way down,

Holding your breath and releasing out your mouth.

Remember at any point in the practice you lose your weight or your mind begins to wander,

You can always come back to your breath to anchor you throughout.

Just breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.

With your eyes closed,

Start to bring your awareness to your top of your head,

To your forehead,

Relaxing your eyebrows,

Softening your face,

Relaxing your jaw,

Letting it melt away from the body,

Bringing your shoulders up to the tops of your ears and dropping them back down,

Melting away from the body.

Notice your chest as it rises and falls with each soft breath.

Notice your stomach,

It may also rise and fall with each breath.

Awareness to the tops of your legs,

See if you can relax your muscles and soften into the ground.

Traveling down the legs through the knees,

All the way down to your ankles,

Under your feet.

If you're lying down,

Let the feet drop to the sides and relax your entire body.

Now that you've settled in,

I give you permission to let go of anything that may be holding you back,

That you may be holding on to,

That no longer serves you.

Maybe a painful experience,

Maybe self-beliefs that are preventing you from moving forward and allowing you to be the best version of yourself.

In this moment,

In this safe space,

I want you to know how capable you truly are,

How powerful you can be once you start believing in your potential.

What would you set out to change or accomplish if you knew you couldn't fail?

What you could achieve once you let go of the fear?

What would you start doing tomorrow?

What would you start doing tomorrow if you knew you could achieve anything,

That you could achieve anything,

Anything your heart desires?

What would you stop doing to help you become this person?

What would you start doing?

Why can't it be you who believes in themselves enough to get the life that you want?

Start by releasing the fear that's holding us back to becoming our true potential with each breath out,

Remembering to breathe in through the nose and with each breath out,

Releasing the fear,

Releasing the fear of what other people may think,

Friends,

Family,

Co-workers,

And instead living for you and what you truly desire.

Releasing the fear of failure,

For if we never try,

We'll never know if we can succeed.

Releasing the fear your brain has created in order to keep you safe.

The brain doesn't want us to step out of the comfort zone,

So it tells you reasons why you shouldn't change,

Why you shouldn't grow,

But in order to achieve,

It starts with getting comfortable with being uncomfortable,

Allowing us to grow.

Silently repeating the following mantras after me.

I am powerful.

I am capable.

I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

I am not afraid to become my true self.

I am powerful.

I am capable.

I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

I am not afraid to become my true self.

Again,

Silently repeating.

I am powerful.

I am capable.

I can achieve anything I set my mind to.

I am not afraid to become my true self.

Placing our hands on our hearts and once again breathing deeply through the nose and slowly out through the mouth.

Now I invite you to send some love to yourself and to take a moment and appreciate that whilst you may be still striving to step into a new and improved version of yourself,

Do not discount where you are now in your journey.

The good things take time and you are exactly where you are meant to be right now.

If we focus too much on where we are going,

We might miss all the good things that happen along the way.

There's a reason why the saying goes,

It's not about the destination,

But it's about the journey and this rings true for the human experience also.

For without darkness,

How would we know light exists?

So embrace where you are right now in your journey.

The darkness you may be experiencing or have experienced in the past and know that deep within yourself that the universe isn't trying to break you.

It's simply making you strong enough for even bigger and better things to come your way.

Silently repeating the following mantras after me.

I am powerful.

I am capable and achieve anything I set my mind to.

I am not afraid to become my true self.

Now,

As we start to come to the end of the practice,

I want you to bring your awareness back to your toes and your ankles and the bottom of your feet,

Slightly wiggling them,

Bringing in some movement,

Noticing your legs and how they feel,

Guiding your attention all the way up the body to the stomach,

To the chest,

As it rises and falls with each breath.

Tops of our shoulders,

Bringing our shoulders up to our ears and then dropping them back down with a breath out.

Start to notice your face and all the tiny details on from your ears to your nose to your eyes and your eyebrows.

Just relaxing your forehead and your head.

With one last round of breathing before we come back to the room.

Hands on your heart,

Breathing in through the nose,

Feeling your chest rise and out through the mouth,

Breathing in through the nose and exhaling all the things that are holding you back from becoming your true self.

As we close the practice,

I invite you to remember you are powerful,

You are capable,

You are capable,

You can achieve anything you set your mind to and you are no longer afraid to become your true self.

Now I invite you back to the room and gently opening your eyes when you're ready.

Thank you for being here today.

My name is Jess and it's been a joy to practice with you today.
