Neurodivergent people may spend a significant amount of time planning for various situations and encounters, including those with social or sensory triggers, because it allows more ease in our internal systems and provides nervous system support. This meditation makes rehearsal mode more explicit: you are invited to identify a triggering situation and then get to know a part that is involved. Repeating the meditation over time allows a deeper understanding of all the parts involved in any given trigger. There are pauses of 30 seconds during the meditation to allow exploration. This meditation was developed in collaboration with Emma Goldman-Sherman. Music composed by Narek Mirzaei (Music Of Wisdom). Photo by Ri Butov.
