Thank You meditator for joining me for this Saraswati meditation today.
Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge,
Insight.
She's the goddess of sound and most importantly for today she is the goddess of language.
In one of her seed stories she actually appeared on the tip of Brahmal's tongue.
So we are going to invoke Saraswati today to help bring some harmony to the language we use with ourselves.
So let's start now by becoming comfortable.
You can sit up or lie down.
We want to make sure wherever we are we feel supported and we're able to rest without being disturbed for a few moments.
And just begin to close those eyes bringing your awareness into your body.
And is there anything you can do to make yourself just 10% more comfortable?
And once you're settled and cozy start to draw your awareness to the movement of the breath allowing everything else to just drop away for a few moments feeling your inhale and exhale.
And as you rest here begin to picture a beautiful light in front of you.
It could be white or maybe it's golden or maybe it's something else if you're feeling more creative.
Just picture this light starting to glow in front of you and picture it getting brighter and brighter and eventually you see the image of the goddess Saraswati in this light.
She is tall and beautiful with a white sari trimmed with sparkling golds,
Long flowing black hair,
Intense almond-shaped eyes.
She has a beautiful golden crown on her head.
In her forearms she holds a manuscript and that represents the wisdom of constant learning,
Prayer beads for spiritual knowledge,
And a veena,
A stringed instrument which represents the tuning to keep one's mind and body in harmony.
She sits upon her mount a beautiful white swan and next to her is a peacock.
Picture her and as much detail as possible growing brighter with that light and begin to picture that light beaming towards you connecting with your heart or your mind.
Whatever feels more intuitively correct for you.
Picture the light of Saraswati joining with you,
With your light,
Your body,
Your consciousness.
And as you rest here connected with the goddess begin to think of a narrative that you tell yourself that is negative.
Maybe it's something that has to do with a particular situation,
Maybe it's something general,
Maybe it's I'm not good enough,
I'm not smart enough,
I'm not pretty enough,
I'll never meet my goal.
Just think of something about yourself,
A narrative that often replays in that monkey mind and just let yourself notice it,
Let yourself be in it for a minute and once you have it allow that narrative to be offered to Saraswati.
Picture that narrative running through the light coming from you and being absorbed by Saraswati.
Picture that light just burning it away.
Allow that narrative,
That whole situation to travel out of you.
Picture it going through the lights and being absorbed by the beautiful goddess and as she absorbs that negative narrative allow some insight,
Some harmony and language to flow from Saraswati to you.
As that negativity flows out through the light allow that insight,
That positivity to flow through the light from Saraswati to you and just notice it,
Just start to feel it,
Feel it start to fill up your heart or your mind.
Allow that insight,
That harmony of language to just take over,
Let it be absorbed into your consciousness.
Feel it,
Know it,
You are enough,
You are perfect the way you are.
Just let that insight,
That harmony of language be absorbed into you and as you bask in this let's show some gratitude to Saraswati.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for your insight,
For your love,
For your support,
For your harmony.
