This meditation is to help you in those moments of high anxiety.

Those moments when you feel stuck,

Unable to move,

And unable to do those things that you want and need to do.

Self-compassion has been proven to be one of the greatest helps in moments of anxiety.

We all know what it feels like to beat ourselves up.

Those thoughts,

The thoughts that are negative,

That are critical,

Directed to ourselves,

Do not serve us.

But showing ourselves compassion and love actually triggers a growth mindset.

It can shift our brain to a place of power and growth and action.

So I would love to invite you to do a simple breath meditation practice with me today that you can use in those moments of high anxiety to help shift your brain to action and power.

So if you haven't already,

Go ahead and find a comfortable position where you can sit with your spine tall,

With the crown of your head reaching towards the heavens.

In this meditation,

I invite you,

With your breath as you inhale,

To imagine that the breath that you're breathing in is filled with love.

What would that look like?

Maybe for you it's a color,

Or maybe it's a texture.

But I invite you to use your imagination to see what that would look like and feel like to breathe in love.

Once you have an image or a color to associate with that,

I invite you to take some deep breaths with me.

So on our inhale,

We'll inhale love and exhale love.

So envisioning,

Imagining that color or texture,

And imagining that it's love as you breathe in,

But then as you exhale love,

I invite you to imagine it's like that love is distilling around you.

If the image or the texture idea doesn't work for you,

Feel free to even just say the word love in your mind as you inhale and exhale.

Let's go ahead and try it again.

Inhaling love and exhaling love.

Again,

Inhaling love,

Exhaling love.

I invite you to do that on your own for a few more breaths,

Saying the word love or envisioning,

Imagining what it would be like to fill yourself with love on your inhale and then to let that love surround you on your exhale.

If it helps,

You're welcome to put one hand or both hands on your heart,

Letting yourself feel the love that exists for you.

You are loved.

Remember that self-compassion brings you power.

And in these moments,

Showing yourself the love that exists for you,

The love that is there for you no matter what,

Can help calm your mind,

Calm your heart,

And put you back in a place of power.

Thank you for joining me for this meditation today.

I'm sending you love and gratitude.

Namaste.
