Hello and welcome to the practice of grounding which will help you to come back to your body,
To feel more safe,
More calm and to become more present in your everyday life.
Our lifestyles are very chaotic nowadays.
Most of the time we rush through the day,
We forget about our breathing,
We are not aware about how our body is feeling,
How our heart and soul are feeling.
This is why I created this grounding practice which you can repeat whenever you feel the need.
It will help you to connect with yourself,
To come back to the present moment and to be here and now.
Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position,
Keep your spine straight,
Relax the shoulders down,
Bring your attention to your breathing.
With every inhale completely fill your lungs with air,
Exhale all the air out,
Completely empty your lungs.
Long inhale,
Fill the lungs with air and long exhale completely empty your lungs.
Now start to bring your attention to your sitting bones.
Start to become aware of the contact between the sitting bones and the ground.
Inhale,
Feel the energy of the earth coming to your body,
Going all the way through your spine.
Exhale,
Release all the tensions,
All the fears away from your body,
All the way down through the earth.
With the next inhalation allow your body to sink even more into the ground.
Imagine your body like a tree whose roots are going deeply into the earth,
Creating a strong and stable connection.
Exhale and release all the worries,
All the stress,
All the anxious thoughts.
With every inhale feel the strong connection to the earth.
Be aware of the strong support,
The strong foundation beneath you.
Inhale,
Fill your lungs with air.
Exhale,
Release and feel your body becoming more and more heavy.
Allow yourself to be present.
Allow yourself to feel the support of the earth,
To feel safe and calm.
When you feel ready start to bring your attention outwards to the sounds that you hear.
Be aware of the space that you are in.
Slowly start to move your fingers,
Your toes,
Move your spine from side to side and now slowly open your eyes.
Thank you very much for practicing with me today and whenever you feel that your mind is distracted,
That you feel a lot of stress and anxiety,
When you feel disconnected from your body,
Feel free to come back to this practice.
Thank you.
