This is a quick guided check-in to access mindfulness, even when you are limited on time. Utilize this as a tune-up before or after class/work, or as a mid-day break. Remember that one minute is better than no minutes, even when you are limited on time - and perhaps, especially when you are limited on time, it's important to carve out time to be still, and check-in with yourself.

Transcript

Take a moment to settle in,

Choosing to stand or to sit,

Eyes open or shut.

Begin by extending a sense of appreciation and gratitude for yourself for taking this time.

And fully checking in by feeling into your body and mind.

Simply allow any waves of thought,

Emotion or physical sensation to just be.

Perhaps this is a first break you've taken amidst a busy day.

As you begin to enter the world of being rather than doing,

You may notice the trajectory of the feelings that you've been carrying within yourself.

There's no need to judge,

Analyze or figure anything out.

Just allow yourself to be here right now amidst everything that is present in this moment.

Take just a few more moments to be with yourself,

Noticing how you are,

Allowing it to be.

Take a deep breath in,

Slowly and fully release your breath.

Take a moment again to appreciate yourself for taking time just for you,

Taking this time in service of your health and wellbeing.
