This is JB and welcome to a beautiful night's sleep.
Thanks for being here for another in the series Sleep Stories with June B.
Join me as I'm relaxing by this beautiful dock,
As the sun is setting and I'm enjoying watching the boats.
So let's get into your favorite sleeping position,
Make sure you're comfortable,
Close your eyes and slowly imagine yourself melting into the bed.
Now let's go to your breathing,
Slowing down the heart rate and let's take some nourishing breaths together.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Breathe in,

Last time,

So here I am sitting by the dock.
The weather is so beautiful.
The sun is slowly setting and I'm watching the boats bobbing in the water.
Life is so still,
Peaceful and quiet here.
I can feel myself relaxing minute by minute.
How do I get so stressed?
I'm not sure.
Life is just life.
I can literally feel my shoulders relaxing and going down from being wrapped up around my neck.
Listening to the water and loving the beautiful boats all moored here,
I can think about getting into one of them and sailing away to somewhere beautiful.
So listening to the water swish and looking at the beautiful boats all moored here.
I can really think about getting into one of them and sailing away to somewhere beautiful.
Hmm let's imagine that for a moment.
That we could get on one of these boats.
And just sail away.
Let's do that now.
Hop into a boat.
I like this one that is close to me.
It is a boat with two levels and a smart looking interior from what I can see.
Why not get onto this boat and see where it takes us.
Imagine we've jumped into this boat and start on a journey on the water.
Listen to that dull hum and the purr of the engine as we skip along the waves sailing out towards the sunset.
I don't know where we are going and how long it will take to get there.
One thing is for sure we will have a great trip.
So skipping along the water moving out of the area of the rest of the boats.
The wind is blowing in my face as we rev up the engine and off we go.
Imagine where we could end up.
So many possibilities come to mind and gliding along on the water is a great way to capture up thoughts of freedom and peace.
The sun is starting to set and the colours of the disappearing sun are amazing.
All the colours are shining so bright.
And oranges and yellows,
Even a little pink in there.
As we move faster towards the setting sun.
Looking ahead and wishing we could catch it one day.
Can you imagine catching the sunset?
That would be amazing.
Now taking the time to enjoy the colours as they deepen now and minute by minute disappear before my very eyes.
How amazing that sight is.
It never gets old.
It's one of the wonders of the world watching the sunset.
How many people would love the opportunity to see the sunset one more time.
I feel so lucky and grateful for the opportunity to witness this beautiful spectacle before my very eyes.
So as the light fades and the wind turns from warm to cool on my face we continue to sail into the disappearing sunset.
Off to places you can only imagine and wish you were there.
That is where we are going today.
To that place you've always dreamed of.
That special place that makes you happy and full of peace.
That place that makes you smile when you think about it.
It warms your heart with that swell of joy and lights up your face.
Where is that place for you?
For me it is on a tropical island with the sun shining and a gentle breeze floating off the clear blue sea.
The sea is so clear that you can see the bottom of the seabed and connect with all the fishes that are there looking up at me to say hello.
The sand is the colour of demerara sugar,
Golden and pure,
With laughter and music playing in the background.
Oh this is my happy place.
The place I visit in my dreams.
The place that takes over when I'm in a bad situation or when I'm feeling down.
I just escape to this happy place and live there for a few moments.
I instantly feel better about whatever is going on and it brings me peace.
So where is your place?
Think about it now and see if you can get to that place of inner peace.
Oh all that visualisation,
Wind blowing in my face and gliding along the water,
Feeling so at peace in my happy place.
It's time to come back to the dock and back onto solid ground.
It's been a wonderful adventure.
Taking a trip to my happy place,
Priceless.
