This guided meditation will support you in making a decision when you have 2 or more choices before you, especially if you've been over-relying on rational thinking. You will move out of the brain and into your body in order to practice tapping into your inner knowing. Letting the influences of the outside world fade away, together, we slow down to access an alternative and deeper way of knowing.

This is a meditation for how to make a decision using your intuition.

I invite you to find a comfortable seated position and once you've gotten settled into a comfortable position to go ahead and close your eyes.

For the purposes of this meditation we'll be considering how it feels in our body when looking at two possible choices or decisions.

So as you're beginning to settle on in you may notice some mind chatter,

Some thinking residue from the day and I invite you to go ahead and let that go just for the next few minutes and allow yourself to drop into your body by noticing the sensation of your skin against your clothes.

You may notice the weight of your legs against the surface that they're resting on and just settling into this moment by taking a few deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

As you breathe in,

The belly falls as you breathe out your mouth.

One more time on your own.

So your focus goes inward.

I invite you to notice any clenching or tension,

Any relief,

Any openings.

Just notice any kind of sensations in your body in the present moment.

This is a snapshot of how you feel right now.

This is your baseline.

Call to mind now the first choice that you're considering whether you say it out loud or just think it in your mind.

I'd like you to call to mind what you're considering.

The very first option that you're holding that in mind and I invite you to notice any physical sensations that come up for you as you consider that option.

What emotions come up for you when you bring that into mind and where do you feel that in your body?

And then as we notice what comes up for us,

Remember that we'll put that one away and I invite you to take out the next option metaphorically and to call to mind the next choice or decision,

The alternative that you're considering.

Bring it to mind,

Consider what that might be,

What that might look like,

Say it out loud if that helps.

And then weighing this option in your body,

How does your body respond when you call this option to mind?

What sensations,

What if any emotions,

Notice any tightening,

Tension or alternatively notice any lightness,

Anything that feels expansive.

And after having tried both of these on for size,

I invite you to just sit in openness for any benevolent messages or knowing for you in this moment in the form of any kind of images,

Words,

Smells that drop into your consciousness.

And they may not,

But leaving the space open for that.

Now coming back to the sound of my voice,

Whatever sensations or information that you may have received or not without the need to analyze,

Just remembering that this practice of going inward is something that you can do at any time and it is a practice.

Also remembering that the most important thing is that you showed up for yourself today.

So please thank yourself for showing up.

And I leave you with,

You do know what's best for you.

Even if it doesn't feel like it in the moment and that you can always ask and tune in using the messages from your body to guide you.
