Upon the request of a student who was recently detected with stage 4 cancer, Jay created this series for anyone dealing with terminal illness or chronic pain. Pain is inevitable in life. Suffering is optional. In today's meditation, we come to explore the temporality of this beautiful journey of life, as Jay discusses how obstacles present themselves to us, so that we may evolve, grow and be taken to a higher place. In the course of 7 days, Jay will lead you through a series of guided imagery that will decouple the pain from suffering. In this process, it is hoped that it will give you some relief and assist in healing the body.

Obstacles come in our way to take us to a higher place.

If we fight it,

It causes suffering.

What we accept,

We overcome.

Today's meditation is about being a guest.

I see myself as a star in the middle of my forehead.

I come into this world as a guest.

I'm only here temporarily to experience this journey that we call life.

Nothing really belongs to me.

Everything that I have is given to me.

It's for my use while I make this visit.

There will soon be a time when I have to let it go and leave it behind for others.

When I do so,

I wish that someone else may be benefited by it.

There is no clinging or possessiveness to anything that has been given to me.

I am only a trustee.

The jingo of attachment to things is easier than people.

If I feel like I am hanging on to anyone,

Either for their sake or mine,

I have to understand that it is a cause of suffering.

I need to understand they will be okay.

I will be okay.

I need to let go of this journey to be graceful.

You might question whether you did enough or said enough or did the right thing or said the right thing.

If there is anything left to be said,

I invoke the soul and speak to its light phone.

And the process I trust the message is mold and conveyed.

I did my best in this role.

I did my best.

And now it's time to let go and move on.

Notice how you feel right now and acknowledge that feeling.

Thank you.

Look forward to connecting with you tomorrow where I will be leading a meditation on the theory of never dying.
