Playing life.

How many roles did you play today?

Like parent,

Child,

Sibling,

Employer,

Employee,

Neighbor,

Etc.

And how many more will you play the rest of today?

Did you notice you were moving between roles as the day progressed?

Are you still playing any roles in your head as you replay certain scenes and look back on the day,

Either with pride or regret?

No one teaches us how to play the right role in the right scene in the right way at the right time.

So instead of playing our life,

Instead of creating our life,

We tend to see it as a serious business being created by others.

We lose our playfulness and our lightness and an increasing heaviness easily creeps into the journey.

It is no wonder that after a day of being serious about business,

Because business is serious business,

We go home.

We find it hard to leave the seriousness behind and lighten up.

And every once in a while,

Life throws situations where we realize is just a play.

And then we completely alter the way we look at life and the direction of our life after realizing that there are other options.

I can be in charge of my life.

I don't have to swim with a current.

This whole thing is just a game in which to play.

I can choose the roles I play.

As I quietly applaud those radical adventures,

I was to wonder if we could do that for a long time forever,

But only until our perception of the seriousness of the situation kicks back in again.

But when we do live more playfully,

When we do attempt to be more consciously creative,

When we do diminish those seriously concerned about ourselves moments,

We are able to be more sensitive to the immediate needs of those around us.

Still playfulness in life,

This kind of relational creativity in life can only come from a place of love.

Love is after all the creative energy.

And when love comes into the picture,

Then caring and compassion automatically come too.

Notice how much lighter you feel right now.

Thank you.

Well so much for that... Lol... Pup came and locked me square on the mouth while my eyes were closed... then stood there and stared at me! Then I thought... What better example of unconditional love, compassion etc, my Service dog on my right with his head on my knee... And the little one on my mat (against the rules, ha, but she doesn't care!) Staring at me, with a lick because I want paying attention to her... Being in the moment, appreciating what I have. They make me smile. Stinkers! Glad I'm not attached to my meditations"looking a certain way"! Thanks Jay ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ™
