Hi,
I'm Giovanna Mae Reiss and I'm so happy you're taking time to be still with me today.
We're going to explore the relationships in your life,
Those closest to your heart and others that orbit further away.
Through this meditation,
We'll reflect on who contributes to your joy and well-being and how to align your time and energy with these meaningful connections.
And so it begins.
First,
Find a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Let your body relax into the support beneath you.
Rest your hands softly at your sides or in your lap.
If it feels right,
Close your eyes or you can soften your gaze.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Allowing the air to fill your chest and belly.
Hold for a moment,
Then exhale slowly.
Take another breath in,
A deep breath,
And exhale,
Releasing any tension that you've been holding,
Letting go of any worries.
One last time.
Inhale deeply,
And as you exhale,
Feel yourself fully arriving in this moment.
Picture yourself at the center of a series of concentric circles.
You're in the center,
Surrounded by a circle.
That circle is surrounded by a slightly larger circle,
And so on.
You are in your innermost space,
Your sanctuary of peace and self-awareness.
Around you,
The first circle takes shape.
This is your inner circle,
Your closest connections,
The people who deeply nourish your spirit and bring joy to your life.
Begin to bring these people into your awareness.
Who do you see standing within this circle?
Picture their faces,
Hear their voices,
And feel the warmth of their presence.
Notice the emotions that arise as you focus on these individuals.
Perhaps there's gratitude,
Love,
Or a sense of comfort.
Take a moment to acknowledge what these relationships mean to you.
Now shift your focus outward to the middle circle.
These are the people you care about,
But may not feel as closely connected to as those in your inner circle.
They could be friends,
Co-workers,
Or others with whom you share positive experiences.
Who comes to mind here?
Visualize their faces and notice how their energy feels in comparison to the inner circle.
Finally,
Imagine the outermost circle.
These are acquaintances or distant connections.
People you encounter less frequently or share only surface-level interactions with.
Let their faces come into view.
Acknowledge their presence in your life,
But notice how they feel further removed from your core.
Now reflect,
Is the time and energy you're giving to each of these circles aligned with their importance in your life?
Are there people in your inner circle who might benefit from more of your attention or presence?
Are there people in your outer or middle circles who take up more space than you'd like?
As you sit with these questions,
Visualize gently shifting your energy.
See yourself drawing closer to the people who truly matter,
Creating time and space to nurture these connections.
At the same time,
Imagine setting boundaries or stepping back from those who don't contribute to your well-being.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale,
Feel the balance returning to your circles.
Sense the harmony that comes from aligning your time and energy with what feels right for you.
In your mind's eye,
Return to the center of your circles.
Feel the support of your inner circle surrounding you,
Grounding and uplifting you.
Breathe in their love and care.
Let this sense of connection settle into your heart.
Take three final deep breaths.
Inhale deeply,
Drawing in gratitude for your relationships.
Exhale,
Releasing any tension or imbalance.
Inhale,
Welcoming harmony into your circles.
Exhale,
Grounding yourself in this awareness.
One last time,
Breathe in connection.
Exhale,
Carrying this clarity forward.
When you're ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to the room.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and open your eyes.
Remember,
The people who matter most deserve your presence.
Let this meditation inspire you to prioritize those connections that bring you joy and fulfillment.
