Hello,
Welcome to another meditation with me.
Sitting here in the New Zealand forest which we call bush.
I'm sitting a little bit away from a creek.
It's just autumn here,
The leaves are falling off the trees and they are dry and rustling.
I move my hands through the leaves.
There's some birds singing in the distance.
Let's start this meditation with a few more conscious and aware breaths.
Breathing a little bit more deeply,
More consciously and out fully.
Connecting with your breath and your body through your inhales and exhales.
Breathing in and out.
After your first few deeper breaths or more conscious breaths,
Allow this consciousness to become stronger,
To become more aware as your breathing continues.
But letting go of all control of your breathing,
Just breathing naturally,
Trusting your body that however it breathes,
It breathes perfectly and naturally,
It knows what to do.
Right next to me there's a tree trunk that's all twisted and it has twists and turns.
That reminds me that our life is a little bit like that at times,
Actually most of the time.
There's always twists and turns and changes and nothing ever stays the same.
So I'm sure as the tree grew as solid and strong as it is,
It didn't fight the twisting and for whatever reason this twisting happened,
It allowed it,
It went with it.
It grew even so,
It became all twisted and not how some of its other trees are.
Some are completely straight and some have more branches,
Some have less.
But no matter,
The tree just grew strong so maybe we can focus on the strength now,
This inner strength that we have.
Can we sit here and be fully in the present moment connecting with the ground below us,
Feeling the surface or ground below us and being aware of our own strengths that we all have,
We are born with it,
It's there.
Even though if at times you don't feel strong,
Remember that we are no different than this tree.
We are strong and solid.
We have this inner strength.
No matter the challenges,
We are strong and solid.
Working with the surface below you,
Feeling that support,
Letting go of any thoughts,
Allowing them to be.
Being,
Being you,
Being who you are and that is perfect and enough.
Maybe we can remember the strengths at times when we feel more stressed or challenged.
Maybe then just remember that we are strong too,
We don't have to fight or resist.
What we can't change,
What we can't change can be just allow it and it's accepted fully.
Expected acceptance,
What we can't change.
Breathing out any resistance,
Letting go any resistance.
Realizing your body and feel what that feels like when we exhale,
Letting go.
Does it feel lighter?
Or how does it feel in your body?
What can you notice and sense?
Every exhale is a new opportunity to release and let go.
If this is new to you,
This might seem difficult,
But the more you practice that,
Any time,
Not just here in this meditation,
Any time during your day,
It will become easier.
Breathing in,
Becoming more aware,
Breathing out,
Releasing and letting go.
Then either bringing this meditation to an end or you might like to continue with this way of breathing.
Try and remember at times your strengths,
Your inner strengths,
Bring it back to mind.
It's how we deal with challenges and stress.
That's where our strength is.
We can choose to accept instead of resisting.
