In these few moments now,
Before my eyes can no longer stay open,
Heavy with sleep,
I see me.
I see that I have had my moments today.
When I could,
I gave of myself.
When I could,
I listened to someone who needed to be heard.
When I could,
My eyes met a stranger's with a smile.
I've had my moments today.
Some where I've asked another,
How can I help?
Others where I wished someone had done the same for me.
This day is done.
I can do no more.
It lives in the past,
Where now I can change nothing.
Tomorrow is a brand new day.
And as I wait for sleep,
I wonder,
How do I choose now how I want to experience it?
Moment by moment,
With an open heart.
Or moment by moment,
Grounded only in fear,
Anger,
And lack,
Disconnected from my world.
Tomorrow is a brand new day.
And as I let my mind and body rest now,
I choose to make it another day to be mindful,
To better know myself,
And to be a blessing to everyone I meet.
And so knowing my greatest good,
This day is done.
It lives in the past,
Where now I can change nothing.
It lives in the past,
Where now I can change nothing.
And so knowing my greatest good,
This day is done.
And so knowing my greatest good,
This day is done.
I'm in the past,
Where now I can change nothing.
And so knowing my greatest good,
This day is done.
And so knowing my greatest good,
This day is done.
